I am still hoping for a Trump/Cruz ticket that crushes the life out f the GOPe.

How does Trump explain offering the vice-presidency to a man he believes is ineligible to be president, and who he has threatened to sue over his eligibility?

I mean I know we're not supposed to believe most of what Trump says but even so adding Cruz to the ticket would be hard to explain away.

That’s a good point. I’ve said I’d support a Trump/Cruz ticket, but adding Cruz may actually be dangerous, from a legal perspective.

Probably best to pick a VP without this hanging over their head.

Simple.

The two of them simply hold a press conference where they announce that their strategy the entire time was meant to lead to their Trump/Cruz ticket if it worked out.

That all of the name calling and attacks were a political gambit which, in essence, did a rope a dope on the other candidates, the MSM< and the GOPe.

That’s how.
