Saying that your opponent is ineligible for the presidency and should drop out because of that goes a little the normal political mud-slinging.

But Donald already flipped on that one.

In the first debate he went on the record saying that he had his lawyers look at it and found no problem,.

Remember?

Oh yes...they could get away with it.

Reagan picked George H.W. Bush for his VP after some really nasty statements he had made about Reagan...and they went on to win by a landslide...twice.

Note...I am not saying that this definitely will happen. My statement was simply that I would like to see it.

You may be right. By now most people know better than to believe anything Trump says.

I don't remember either Bush or Reagan saying that the other was Constitutionally ineligible.

Regardless, it's all academic anyway because even if Trump asked Cruz to run with him I don't see Cruz saying yes. Personally I think it's going to be a Trump/Christie ticket.
