Decorated veterans are going after Donald Trumps character in hard-hitting new Florida ads designed to drive down the Republican presidential front-runners popularity to stop him winning the crucial winner-take-all state on March 15.
In new attack ads, released by conservative nonprofit American Future Fund within a multimillion-dollar rotation, two veterans, Afghanistan Special Forces Commander Lt. Col. Michael Waltz and retired Vietnam pilot and prisoner of war Lt. Col. Tom Hanton, hit Trump for dodging the draft in Vietnam, serving only himself, and for criticizing Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for being captured during the Vietnam War.
American Future Fund spokesman Stuart Roy said in an email to The Hill Saturday that the group is swapping out its current ads in the Florida Panhandle for the new veteran ads and said it "will be adding new money there on Monday, as well."
The Panhandle is full of active and retired military. Think Eglin Air Force Base, Pensacola Naval Air Station, Hulburt Field, Naval Support Activity Panama City, and Tyndall Air Force Base.
In one of the ads, Waltz tells viewers to put a stop Trump's campaign.
Donald Trump hasnt served this country a day in his life, essentially dodged the draft in Vietnam through multiple deferments, Waltz says, speaking directly into the camera. All Donald Trump has served is himself. Dont let Donald Trump fool you. Look into his real record and stop Trump now."

Apparently I got you and this guy who thinks Waltz has no motive mixed up with you. Sorry. What is sad is this Waltz worked for Cheney and has been a paid Republican hack.
Pelham his lottery number was 356.
Oh, for God's sake!
A "jealous Conservative"??
Really?
If you don't think certain advantages might be conferred upon one who can borrow a million bucks from daddy, you are delusional, and we all know it.
I'm not "jealous" of a little money (especially nouveau riche), and I have never worked (directly) for the Government (even though they come around quarterly for a 'handout').
If you don’t want to be thought jealous and vindictive don’t use words like ‘daddy’. I only wish my father could have lent me 1 million dollars (if it’s true - who knows, idiot Rubio says it was $200,000,000) to start me off on my chosen career. He couldn’t and that’s ok just as it’s ok for Fred Trump to help his kids.
No problem.
(rolls eyes) I call my father 'daddy' on occasion. Wouldn't you call your father "daddy'? Are you implying his father isn't his 'daddy'? Do/did you call your daddy "Mr Marmelstein" or "daddy"?
I think you are running out of stuff, here.
In retrospect, a government job would have had its advantages, in not riding the roller coaster of global commodity prices in an ever wildly expanding and contracting market where being very good at what you do is no guarantee of employment, not to mention the wish list of benefits.
Where you need only rise up the ladder once, not repeatedly.
Oh well, as the joke goes "I got to this town with nothing, and I still have most of it left."
You pays your money, you takes your choice.
I just wish I could get back the money the government has extracted from me under threat of imprisonment or worse over the good years. It would have made the bad ones far simpler, and guaranteed a comfortable retirement.
I didn't serve. I am a woman. I was too young for the draft during Vietnam anyway. Did you serve? I notice you havent said so.
When was your husband on the USS Midway during the during the Viet Nam war, and more interesting to me is what Carrier was he on during the Cuban missle crisis?
For starters, Wikipedia lists him with $250$300 million (1999), back when that was a lot of money.
USS Consolation a carrier, but the USS Midway was the year they pulled the AMB out. He was part of Frequent Wind operation in ‘69.
One of the reasons Elvis was sent to Germany. But he didn’t refuse to serve or dodge his duty to the US.
There, that's better
Can you name a Republican candidate for President who has served ?
Where did Cruz serve ?
Life is full of hurts, and He has helped with many, doesn’t mean I have to forget them. Would you forget your child being MURDERED so some sociopath could get a thrill to see what it felt like to kill a block from home? Or the terrible plea deal the prep got? Or the 6 parole hearings trying to eke out a tad of justice and maybe prevent another killing?
I can forgive, I don’t have to forget.
No where does it say I have to FORGET.
Yes, I served from 66-75 and yes I was shot twice on 27 April 69 in RVN. I am a General Member of the Special Operations Association. I mention General member because one has to be verified and have another member vouch that he served with you. We meet in Las Vegas once a year in late October. We used to go in Sep. You talked about your father. What about you? My old man was in WWII, Korea, and he had two tours in RVN in his 30 years. In fact, he went back after my tour in 68-69. His first was in 63-64.
Neither did Trump. Student deferments are not draft dodging? A medical condition is not draft dodging. Hell I had to pass the induction physical in Richmond, VA. I memorized the 20/20 eyesight line. FLOTDEXT.
Great question. Cruz talks his crap about his dreams to fight for freedom after his dad tells his BS and nothing stopped Cruz from being commissioned as a JAG officer and serving. Cruz father tells his Frank Pais story and the man was killed six months later in a totally different place. I served with a Cuban in SF and he tells us his parents always knew Castro was a commie.
Eisenhower
You certainly had no reason to serve as the Army and other services still had male/female jobs straight until after RVN.
