Journalist Melissa Harris-Perry of MSNBC has made no fans in the pro-life movement, but her network has had enough of her, too.
The Daily Caller reports that Harris-Perry grew very angry about her show being pre-empted by election coverage, resulting in her lashing out. She announced that her lack of airtime made her feel “worthless,” and led her to start boycotting her own show.
This did not earn her much sympathy from the network. Reconciliation between Harris-Perry and the network is now impossible, and they are only discussing severance, according to the report.
In regard to her treatment by MSNBC , Harris-Perry said, “I have a PhD in political science and have taught American voting and elections at some of the nation’s top universities for nearly two decades, yet I have been deemed less worthy to weigh in than relative novices and certified liars.”
Though MSNBC is often known for its liberal stance, Harris-Perry took that to a peculiar extreme. LifeNews has reported her wearing tampon earrings in response to former Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s signing of a bill banning late-term abortions in Texas. She explained that she was wearing them as a response to Texas officials’ “confiscation of tampons at the Texas legislature that abortion activists planned to throw at legislators,” following the bill’s vote.

Harris-Perry also claimed that laws regulating abortion do not make sense, since similar laws would not exist for cancer treatment. In 2013, Harris-Perry also made a comment that made some people wonder whether she has any grasp on the science behind fetal development. Harris-Perry talked about how much it costs “to have this thing turn into a human” when referring to an unborn baby.
Beyond right to life issues, Harris-Perry has made several outrageous statements, leaving many conservatives and liberals alike relieved that MSNBC has canceled her show.
With that political science PhD, she's qualified to work a Burger King register with some training.
