Looking at the Trumpsters of today, I am reminded of the rabid Schwarzenegger supporters of yesteryear. Not caring about conservatism, not giving a damn about principles, not caring one bit about anything but winning. Perhaps a few of a Schwarzeneggerites would like to comment about how all of that worked out.
My recollection is just fine. The Arniebots made complete asses of themselves. Which was my whole point.

I agree with you, but have no reason to trust Trump. I was attempting, poorly perhaps (I was drunk), to highlight the similarities of the Trump and Arnie crowds here on FR. Fanatical, I find/found them.
Dunno if you were here for it or not. I was crucified for stating McClintock’s case. I wasn’t a Cali resident, and that didn’t help either. But the Arnie-folks were the nastiest people on FR. Flat out. And it seems to be happening again.

If I recall, it was the establishment that was against McClintock. A lot of the same folks - literally the same people in positions of GOP power and consultancy - who are now against Trump.
