College is a privilege, not an entitlement."Privilege" is not an economic term.
As with medical care, college is a commodity, or, perhaps more accurately, a congeries of services and commodities. People who want to buy it should be free to do so. People who don't have the money necessary to buy it should turn to charities.

Are we going to make graduate degrees free as well? Um... okay... some of us *did* get our graduate degrees free--that is, taxpayers paid for them. It all depends on the major.
