I can relate to that. As a lad more than once I was trapped in grandfather's barnyard by his angry "domesticated" goose. It sure was a mean, hissing thing (the goose, not grandfather).
“I was trapped in grandfather’s barnyard by his angry “domesticated” goose.”
My parents had big geese on their pond that were really aggressive and would sneak up and bite bite me while fishing in the pond.
When I got married I had my mother slaughter two of them for the wedding banquet. That was the only way I could ever bite them back
Decades ago my late wife was frightened by a guard goose on a friends farm. It came over a car in attack mode.
I never could understand that reaction. I was a boy with several meanish roosters. I also realized that I was a lot bigger than they were and was willing to use that to my advantage. They tried to get me once or twice, but never more than that.
Farm animals are not pets. Treat them like farm animals and they'll respect you.
