The reason for Trump going bankrupt is as blatant as 5 minutes of observation will immediately reveal, he went bankrupt because his ego drove him to it.

The story of the Taj Mahal is the story of ego. It is almost biblical in its Old Testament implications. Trump would not heed advice that told him he was building an extravagant folly. Take a look at Trump Airlines, take a look at many of the Trump Enterprises and you will see the same ego at work.

Occasionally his ego paid off because he was using other people's money, and government guarantees, subsidies and loans and often government property. His ego managed to leverage these things. That does not make Donald Trump a genius, or even a remarkable businessman.

It certainly does not make Donald Trump qualified to take the fate of the nation in his hands as president of the United States and that is true even if one never examines this thoroughly sleazy aspects of his character. Do Donald Trump supporters somehow believe that he will come to Jesus minutes before he takes the oath because he has one hand on a Bible?

Donald Trump is a narcissist, a man ridden by his own ego, what folly it would be to place the destiny of your children in the hands of such a man.

Snip:

The younger Trump showed an aptitude for real estate wheeling and dealing (and an even greater talent for self-promotion) that allowed him to parlay his share of his father’s already successful business into a fortune of several hundred million by the 1980s, but as detailed in a 2005 profile by Timothy O’Brien in the New York Times, Trump had blown through it all by the mid-nineties and was in serious debt. Only 20 million dollars in loans from his rich siblings (each had inherited 35 million from father Fred, who was by then deceased) kept Trump afloat and allowed him to stage a comeback.

A Trump presidency would make it three narcissists in the last four.

And the other two worked out so very well...

Thats a lot of post that fails to address the question.

Why would a bank fund any project that was an obvious looser? Isn’t the goal to gain interest on investment?

I have no issue with a man using a corporation to bound potential losses and protect individual assets. Bankruptcy is a good and necessary function in a capitalist society.

My children’ fate is in Gods hand. It would be the same if Billy Graham was running. Trump can skip the weak professions.

Enjoy Tuesday.

“The reason for Trump going bankrupt is as blatant as 5 minutes of observation will immediately reveal, he went bankrupt because his ego drove him to it.”

5 minutes of observation?

The only conclusion that one can arrive at with a mere 5 minutes of observing Trump is that he has been unusually successful.

It is good that you put that sentence at the beginning of your post, because it is a witness mark for everyone that you pulled the whole thing straight out of our ass. You have no idea what you are talking about.

You are trying to clothe mindless hate and venom with a facade of reason.

I believe history will reveal trump to be a fascist. And as he strips the first amendment if he is elected by the mindless minions salivating for the trump version of “hope and change”, they will be as blind to his tyranny as the obots currently are.

In my life I’ve never seen the intellectual suicide in politics that I’ve seen these past years.

140 characters or less of communication has turned the planet into intellectual dolts that only George Orwell could fully articulate.

I may be wrong about trump. And if it turns out later that I am wrong, I’ll publicly apologize here, but he appears too be the “strong man” like Israel cried for and ended up with Saul, or Germany cried for and got Hitler, or that the leftists wanted and we for Obama “WE are the ones WE have been waiting for” narcissism, or...(fill in the blank).

The writing is on the wall.
