What is it about politicians and fibs that can easily be shown false?
On the campaign trail in 2008 Senator Barack Obama told black audiences stories about his parents' involvement in the civil rights protests of 1960s that were not even remotely true. Over the years, Hillary Clinton has made preposterous claims about everything from being named after the conqueror of Mt Everest to having been under sniper fire in Bosnia.
We all know Trump constantly proclaims he is the greatest at just about everything. Add eyesight to the list.
"Because I had a view - I have a window in my apartment that specifically was aimed at the World Trade Center, because of the beauty of the whole downtown Manhattan. And I watched as people jumped and I watched the second plane come in. ... I saw the second plane come in and I said, "Wow that's unbelievable".'
Trump's apartment, in the penthouse of iconic Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan, is 4.1 miles away from where the twin towers once stood.
An object the size of a human body cannot be discerned by the human eye at that distance. Now maybe there is a telescope or pair of binoculars in Trump's penthouse. However, on that day Donald Trump was apparently not in the penthouse. At the time the Twin Towers were struck on the morning of September 11, 2001 Donald Trump was reported to be at a business meeting in downtown Chicago, Illinois, almost 800 miles from Manhattan.
On the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, Adrian D. Smith, a well-known architect in the Chicago office of Skidmore Owings & Merrill, was in a meeting with Donald Trump. The hyperbolic New York City developer was in Chicago to go over the design of a proposed Trump residential tower ...

A useless toy.

LOL! How predictable you are.
“I have not heard TRUMP speak to KELO.”
Of course you haven’t.
Even though Trump has said over and over he supports the Kelo decision you haven’t heard it.
Nope you never heard it because you Trumpsters never hear anything bad about the Donald.
You just tune it out the same way the Obamabots did in 2008 and again in 2012.
When Trump turns out to be exactly what everyone tried to tell you he is you can tell everyone had you known that about Trump you would never have supported him.
==========================================
Enjoy crazy he will get buried in the general election. I will vote third rather than for that fraud.
Care to try for more? :)
“Do you have so many strings pulls per day for your canned phrases, or is it just until your arms get tired from typing?”
Trump supporters play checkers so I play checkers. There are very limited responses to the few moves that Trump supporters know. Yes, it is kind of boring.
Let’s talk about how Trump saw the Twin Towers come down with his own eyes - while he reportedly was in Chicago.
Your move.
I play wei-chi. Go look it up, since you don't know what it is.
n00b buff00n. :)
Trump has a personal tunnel from Chicago to New York. It's like the old mail tubes.
I suppose you didn't about THAT, either. :)
Trump needs to clear this up real quick. Voters are willing to over-look a lot: like Trump saying “I opposed the Iraq War” when he supported it. That is to be expected. After all, Trump is a politician from New York City.
But this story about witnessing the Twin Towers come down is exceptional. Why would any politician try to make the tragedy about themselves? Trump is close to Stolen Valor territory here.
You didn't have to write "wei-chi" on the back of your hand, and then go to Google to look it up.
You know what always happens with that solution. You start to do the search, then you have to go to the bathroom.
When you're in the can, you accidentally "wash" the back of your hand, AGAIN. The Golden Liquid washes away the phrase that you wanted to look up.
Then, you have to go BACK to the post, find the word again, then write it on the other hand, where it might be safe.
We've been over this a dozen times.
It wouldn't take you an hour to respond every time. :)

Fascinating but appalling.
TRUMP: Well, look. Iâm very pro-choice. I hate the concept of abortion. I hate it, I hate everything it stands for. I cringe when I hear people debating the subject. But you still â I just believe in choice. And again, it may be a little bit of a New York background, because there is some different attitude in different parts of the country, and I was raised in New York, grew up and worked and everything else in New York City. But I am strongly for choice, and yet I hate the concept of abortion.
RUSSERT: But you would not ban it.
TRUMP: No.
RUSSERT: Or ban partial-birth abortion.,p> TRUMP: No, I would â I would â I am pro-choice in every respect, as far as it goes. I just hate it.
Ted Cruz told the truth, dynoman, YOU lied and owe an appology to Ted Cruz
Look up lie of omission, that is what Ted does ad nauseum. And it’s what you did in your post.
Trump has been against partial birth abortion since 2000. I fact he stated that in the Tim Russert interview you quote!!
Look it up.
I owe Ted nothing. I bought his book “A Time for Truth” and he made lying and misrepresenting a big part of his campaign. If anything he owes me a refund.
Lie of omission;
“Also known as a continuing misrepresentation, a lie by omission occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions.”
I’m sorry. I was wrong, Trump didn’t state he would support a partial birth abortion ban in the Russert interview;
“Trump said in his book, The America We Deserve, which was published in 2000, that he was wrong to say he supported late-term abortion. After he talked with doctors, he wrote, he would indeed support a ban on the procedure.”
“When Tim Russert asked me on Meet the Press if I would ban partial-birth abortion if I were president, my pro-choice instincts led me to say no. After the show, I consulted two doctors I respect and, upon learning more about this procedure, I have concluded that I would indeed support a ban.”
