I too would hate to waste my vote during the primary. Anti-Trump voters will split the ticket against ... well, against someone.

But hey, would it be okay if I vote for my cat anyway?

While I agree that voting for TC is a bad idea, this isn’t breaking news.

Wow, some angry doofus on FR ripped my candidate of choice, Ted Cruz. I guess I will just vote for Trump! Trump! Trump! Trump!

Oh wait...no I won’t.

Those were REALLY convincing arguments you made, though; you almost had me convinced to switch my vote.

Oh wait...no you didn’t.

At some point will the Trump supporters around here figure out that you will NEVER win any votes for him with your constant bashing of Ted Cruz? Quite the opposite! Trump’s supporters have been the worst advertisements for his campaign.

if you do not now get the point...

I get the point.

And you are proving Ted Cruz’s point.

All the other candidates fear Ted Cruz.

Choose Cruz

That’s funny as hell. All 3 of his accusers are serial liers but you think their hyperbolic accusations make Cruz unwinnable.

I’m not a Cruz supporter, but I find your post to be quite offensive, both in terms of its tone and its content, frankly.

The only wasted vote is one that doesn’t represent you.

“Each of you, for himself, by himself and on his own responsibility, must speak. And it is a solemn and weighty responsibility, and not lightly to be flung aside at the bullying of pulpit, press, government, or the empty catchphrases of politicians. Each must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, and which course is patriotic and which isn’t. You cannot shirk this and be a man. To decide against your convictions is to be an unqualified and inexcusable traitor, both to yourself and to your country, let man label you as they may. If you alone of all the nation shall decide one way, and that way be the right way according to your convictions of the right, you have done your duty by yourself and by your country — hold up your head! You have nothing to be ashamed of.”

- Mark Twain

“When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers ‘just men who will rule in the fear of God.’ The preservation of a republican government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty. If the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made not for the public good so much as for the selfish or local purposes; corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizens will be violated or disregarded. If a republican government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the divine commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the laws.”

— Noah Webster

“Impress upon children the truth that the exercise of the elective franchise is a social duty of as solemn a nature as man can be called to perform; that a man may not innocently trifle with his vote; that every elector is a trustee as well for others as himself and that every measure he supports has an important bearing on the interests of others as well as on his own. “

— Daniel Webster

Cruz is okay, I just think Trump is better, and would be the kind of president we need right now. His strengths are why you vote for him, not so much the Cruz negatives (and there are some).

Vote Trump!

His competitors cannot run as more conservative than him, so what are they doing? Slandering his character. Cruz isn’t perfect, but he is a good man, and would make an incredible president.

VOTE TED CRUZ!!! VOTE TED CRUZ!!!

Here’s how to make the case for Trump.

What I like about Trump. Three things ...

1. He unites patriots. Doesn’t matter how uninformed a voter is, a low-info patriot gravitates toward Trump during moments like this Pope-and-Wall moment.

In a couple years, those low info patriots would transform into informed patriots. His popularity [if he goes back to his November campaign style] would also make him powerful on the bully pulpit, especially when he combines that with ‘Art of the Deal’.

2. Executive experience. There is only one president in US history who walked into the White House with more executive experience than Trump. That was Ike, commander of the Allies in Europe. Some might say Washington had more exec experience than Trump. Arguably true. Just one or arguably two.

3. Trump’s Art of the Deal is exactly what we need in trade talks and getting international corporations to return here to the US. For example ... Obama’s oil tax idea, $10 per barrel. Trump would instead use that concept as leverage to get lower tariffs of US exports to oil exporting nations. Rather than tax all oil producers, he would threaten tariffs and get oil exporters to comply with whatever.

He would also threaten to carpet bomb Iran’s oil because the world doesn’t need Iran’s oil any more. Iran would need to dance to his tune or get taken out completely.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The only president who started off with more executive experience than Trump was Ike. If somene adds Washington to that list, I would not dispute it, but that is how rare his expierence is. And he’s proven to be a top notch executive.
Serving police officers today backed Donald Trump’s claim that some Muslim communities in the UK are no-go areas because of extremism. Several Met officers have said the ‘Islamification’ of some parts of the capital requires ‘extra vigilance’ and they can’t wear uniforms for safety reasons - despite Scotland Yard claiming the tycoon ‘couldn’t be more wrong’. Home Secretary Theresa May tonight rejected Mr Trump’s claims, insisting: ‘The police in London are not afraid to go out and police the streets.’
The US presidential contender caused worldwide consternation yesterday after a string of incendiary remarks about Muslims, including in Britain ... [snip]
" an unbalanced religious nutcase"
And Trump and in particular, his vulger, and unbalanced Alinskyite supporters, will permanently fracture the GOP conservatives, thus guaranteeing half sit home in November.
Trump will run against a Democrat machine which will come fully loaded with everything you've never heard about Trump. If Trump can destroy a good man like Cruz via character assassination, imagine what the Democrat left can do to Trump with 30 years of his history available to tap.
This will NOT work out how you expect it to. True conservatives will never subscribe to "the ends justifies the means" and ##WINNING". If some conservatives sat home for Romney and McCain (as the GOP-e has consistently claimed in their losses), how in the world do you expect them to jump on the Trump 767 and happily ride it all the way to the White House. Are Cruz, Carson, or Rubio going to say "it's all right, folks, Donald was just funnin' ya all for the election, WE ENDORSE THE DONALD"?
It ain't gonna happen. Trump folks are just dreaming.
Do you understand that Trump will never be president either? We’ve all screamed for years for a Conservative, held our noses and voted for McCain, Romney,Dole,Bush 1.Not again! Not because we think we want to be on the winning side.
Trump has higher UNFAVORABLE numbers than Cruz. Hundreds of thousands will not vote for Trump. Myself included.
We’ll have Sanders as president.
Mark my words.
For the benefit of the Trump supporters who with energy and vitriol have made nine of ten FR threads all about THE DONALD for the past six months, we christen JIMROB's site:
TrumpRepublic
Sure it's a fantasy, but then so are their claims that Trump is a constitutional conservative who'll be another Reagan. FReepers, don't let fellow FReepers drive Trump.
