Some people here apparently totally missed the point.   Trump never divulges all the tactics he will use, in any encounter.   When he said he might sue Cruz, that also means (by definition) that he might not.  Trump likes to keep his opponents guessing.

Sports fans will easily understand those kind of tactics.   For example, in boxing, boxers use various kinds of "feints" to trick their opponents, as their opponents try to guess what kind of punch is coming from them, and where their next punch will be aimed at.   This video explains and shows boxing feints being executed:

"Feints Compilation - Boxing"
Another sport that uses many techniques to keep one's opponents guessing all the time is football.   These "trick plays" in football include "misdirection plays", "reverses", head-fakes, and various other legal and often productive techniques, as this video clip illustrates:

"2011 Vanderbilt Football Trick-Play Reel"
It is clear that some people here do not understand Trump yet, and do not get it when he wisely keeps his opponents guessing all the time.

You also missed the point that Trump never divulges the tactics he will use as president, or how he will accomplish his wild promises.

Just like Obama. And his followers have hope and change going for them.

Besides that, Cruz had to spend an entire day answering questions regarding Trump and potential lawsuit...a day he could have spent campaigning...granted Ted got to show his ad again...but Trump was the focus. He had to defend himself and further put into voters minds that maybe Trump had something with the threat. It was a great move by Trump to send a cease and desist letter. It threw Cruz off his game. These things are tactical

And the next day...The Pope and Trump....Again a whole day of the nation talking about Trump. Couldn’t write better stuff....

After the CNN Town hall hast night they spent 47 minutes talking about Trump and a bone to Yeb! and Kaisich hugging some kid. Once again all the air sucked out of the room by Trump. Whether one agrees with him or not, he has built in a free campaign ad every segment on the news. Whether the report is good or bad they are talking about him and that is what it is all about

I mean who is talking about Carson? Is he still in the race?
