Update of this story is that very fortunately, CT scans reveal he does NOT have a second pelvic fracture and therefore his artery is NOT in danger of being severed by a broken bone, so he does NOT need surgery. Well-wishers raised an impressive $16,000 to cover his medical expenses, which is awesome and impressive.

I wonder how this tiny fella got down in the ravine, and where his mama is. I suspect some no-good-niks had something to do with it. If so, I hope they rot in hell. I just wish I could afford a horse, because I really love horses.

Wouldn't a well-placed bullet have been cheaper?

I find new-born colts ("baby horses?!") as cute as the next fellow, but unless it was someone's pet, why go to that much effort?

Regards,

I suspect that things happens in the great out doors strange things happen to animals all the time.

A total waste of to time and recourses the animal should have been put down and left there.

Waste of money. Around here we have so many wild horses it is legal to feed them. They get into your trash if your neighbor hood does not have a wall around it. Really. They are everywhere. If you want one just come to NV with a rope.

Yeah horses are great but wild ones are just that, wild animals. Tens of thousands to save what announce to a pest? Silly. Would you spend that much to save an injured deer?
