Well it appears that you’re for giving the government some pretty sweeping authority to just start butchering people’s remains against the wishes of their surviving family based on specious reasoning.

I hope I never live to see the day where this opinion is widely shared. And if I do live to see it, I hope I don’t die of a heart attack in bed with a pillow.

Your statement is ridiculous. There are many many cases where the government requires an autopsy. I believe that in my state, if you die at home without a physician to testify to the cause, an autopsy is required. Scalia had a physician testify to general health issues consistent with being 79, but he had no direct info as to his death at that particular time. That would require an autopsy and toxicology report. Given the political ramifications, it should be required in this case.

So your drama about living in an America where...NEWSFLASH, you already live in such an America. Might you possibly be happy about the political ramifications of Scalia’s death and therefore not want a resolution to the doubt?
