What is in this for Trump? Think about it. He isn’t a syphilitic gimme mo money sexual predator like Bill Clinton. He doesn’t need this literal crap sandwich that Presidential elections have become. Think about what it would be like to be in essence a master of the world you see with more money than some countries entire GDP.
He is old. He has kids who seem to have good values and are passing it on to their kids.
Legacy. He is in this for his legacy. He is an egomaniac, granted. A bit of a narcissist. These things I accept. I also accept that his goals and our goals are aligned. How does he have the legacy of being the best President since George Washington? By being the best President since. I strongly, no emphatically believe he will put our interests first. Why? Because it will get him what he wants. He wants to Join Washington, Lincoln and Reagan as the greats. Is it about his ego, sure. Are we going to be happy with what he does? I am pretty damned sure we will be.
