Although I am but a humble newbie, not having visited FR until Sept 2002 and officially joined a few months later, I disagree totally.
Back then, we did not have 7 years of an in-your -face unconstitutional megalomaniac playing at being president, and a GOP utterly unable to stop him.
Nor were we facing two new vultures struggling as to who gets the national carcass.
Nor were we facing a $20 trillion debt; nor were we facing armies of 7th century animal Mass murdering Muslims. all at the same time!
Desperate times demand desperate measures. The pablum of "let the rule of law deal with it" is meaningless, when it has been ignored with impunity for almost 8 years.
I'm afraid that business as usual, can't cope.
Not the GOPe, not the new improved Socialism, and certainly not the Clinton Criminal Enterprises, Inc.!
You do realize that people are donating to Trump and he is taking and using those donations. He say he is self funded, but he is taking reimbursements it seems from those donations.
I have no problem with you supporting Cruz and understand very well why one would choose him as their candidate. I thank you for not attacking Sarah Palin. She has the right to make up her own mind using the knowledge and experience she has.
Everyone needs to be vetted. Isn’t that what we have complained about that the media refused to ever vet Obama? Trump needs to be vetted and the conservatives who are vetting him should not be shouted down like we were MessedUpNBC who kiss Hillary’s behind and never discuss her email scandal or Benghazi.
What a pathetic pompous pharisee you are.
Toss out some dishonest smears, then hide behind the Cross.
I agree - on moral issues at least, Rush Limbaugh should not judge who is conservative and who is not. Someone who has been married four times should not be judging the conservative morals of others.
Trump has never tried to hide that he accepts small donations from individuals. He talks about it all the time. The point is, he doesn’t take large donations from special interests who, in exchange for their contributions, expect him to enact policy that is favorable to them, not to the voters who elect him. The voters are the only special interest he takes donations from.
Yep all that! That’s me too!
Perhaps one day soon they’ll wake up and utter the words in my new tagline.
I have. And I was called an idiot by a pro Cruz FReeper because they thought they had the ability to read between the lines of a pretty straight forward comment lending my support to Cruz.
I hate the repetitive, hyperventilating crap that both sides post here.
I’ve said it many times, I support both of them and you won’t find me bashing either one of them. I can’t vote until May, so it’s going to play out long before I have a chance to pull a lever for either of them.
But the Pro-Cruz people have made me set back and wonder if I want to be part of their version of “conservatism” if that means acting like the elitists we complain about and calling other people idiots simply because they don’t hate a candidate as much as they do.
FreeRepublic didn't jump the Shark, Cruz zealots did. Glenn Beck and Levin have the same problem because they will have no where to park when Trump prevails. Trump supporters however would have no trouble moving to Cruz if Trump flops.
Re post 78. Sessions has a staffer on loan to Trump as of 2 weeks ago. I have great respect for Lee so far, as I do Sessions. Lost respect for King when during Iowa caucus he accused S.Palin, Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Jerry Falwell JR of taking bribes from Trump.
Have any proof?
Well, with a consistent Conservative we would get consistency. With Donald Trump all this could change. He could resind regulations and executive actions. With a little help from congress he could do away with whole departments. But because he might be a Liberal many on this forum don’t want to take the chance.
first i haven’t decided politically on trump yet. if he were to go indie, i’d vote for him. he’s certainly a vehicle for destroying the gopes and their party and that is fine with me.
but, i suggest that you tread lightly on the accusations that half of FR are hypocritical Christians for supporting trump. that gets to be unnecessarily devisive, imo. it’s a bridge way to far.
trump certainly has a mix of immoral and moral businesses. he moves and functions easily in the circles of the worldly. but that doesn’t mean that God isn’t using him for His purposes. God has used sinners throughout the Bible to drive His purpose. trump’s sin is not necessarily his supporter’s sin. it depends on the heart and motive of the supporter. we love the sinner, we hate the sin. voting for trump doesn’t necessarily assign his sins to the voter. now if trump comes out and says, yes i’m going to promote abortion and i’m going to fight to increase the funding to pp for abortion, then you’ve got your case.
You really don’t care whether Trump is conservative or not. You just want somebody to shake things up. It’s bizarre.
That is really lame. He was making a family Joke, if you were honest you would mention the Justices he said he would like to duplicate.
It is not the duty of a president to create jobs. It is the duty of a government to craft a regulatory system that will not stifle job creation. Looking to a president, or any government, to create jobs is to support socialism.
I’m with you, man. I’ve been a member of the site for 14+ years, and was lurking since pretty much the beginning. I think that 7 years of Obama have done so much damage and so dispirited so many folks to such an extent that they’re not thinking clearly. It’s like abused, runaway teens who are susceptible to joining cults. We’re into Jonestown territory, with The Donald as the Reverend Jim. Trump supporters, please step back from the ledge. I don’t know how anyone who purports to be a rational conservative could have watched the debate and have concluded that the petulant, unstable braggart spewing leftist talking points is somehow the great savior of the Republic. It’s insanity.
