Kanye West made a reference to being "$53 million dollars in personal debt" on Saturday.
West, whose Twitter announcements have made headlines multiple times in recent days, tweeted, "I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt... Please pray we overcome... This is my true heart..."

I don’t see how he can be in debt. He and his family live at his mother-in-law’s house. He should be piling up his disposable income unless Kris is charging them rent.

Isn't his debt also her debt since they're "married". In a normal marriage the reverse is surely true. I don't see her acknowledging that this debt is also hers. She's not making any appeals, is she? Could be a sign that their "marriage" is a publicity stunt.
I wonder if this will hurt his chances of running for the presidency.
