Former NFL player Bill Romanowski still hasn't learned to keep his mouth shut.
After Panthers quarterback Cam Newton aburptly walked out on his postgame press conference, Romanowski tweeted: "You will never last in the NFL with that attitude. The world doesn't revolve around you, boy!"
Romanowski's use of the word "boy" â a racially inflammatory term â was met with heavy criticism, including from some African-American athletes.
Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson tweeted at Romanowksi, "Boy? You never watched Good Times Bill?"

Former Bengals cornerback Rico Murray added, "Cam needs to bite the bullet and take what's coming. But @billromanowksi is a disgrace."

‘Roid rage!
BILL FINALLY TWEETED:
Calm down everyone! I meant he needs to grow up!
— Bill Romanowski (@billromanowski) February 8, 2016
I apologize for that remark ‘boy’. It was not intentional or even trying to disrespect others. Peace everyone.

Still a linebacker.
Well, now that he apologized, all the self- styled “aggrieved” will jump on that as an admission of guilt.
Should’ve used ‘spoiled brat’.
Just another example of a “controversy” that isn’t one.
He shouldn’t have called him boy. Newton was acting like an old man, specifically Bill Bellicheck.
Blacks sometimes seem just as sensitive as Muslims to any use of words that does not meet certain specifications! Grow up is correct Bill. Maybe that is why so many blacks join Muslim sub-groups, just sayin’.
I can go along with the statement that Cam needs to grow up. He acted like an immature spoiled brat. Romanowski’s choice of words was unfortunate but indicative of the Politically Incorrect age we live in where every word or phase has to be measured against Race or some other offended group.
What’s wrong with calling a boy, a boy?
Does anything good ever come out of posting a tweet?
Two observations:
1) The double standard of political correctness raises its head again. This isn’t an issue if tweeted by Michael Irvin.
2) It’s always a good idea in the era of politically correct thought before hitting “send” to re-read comments, tweets and facebook posts, and ask: “Do I want a jury to see this?” and “How would this look on the front page of tomorrow’s news?”
Ha!
I would like to say to Cam and the black community in general, a psychotic-juicer Polack does not speak for white America.
Issue settled.
I didn’t even know he was black. Nevertheless, that’s it for Romanowski. Down the memory hole with him.
TOO LATE! He used the word. We can read ANYTHING WE WANT into it. Bye-bye Bill.
The name fits.
Wear it.
The real story is that pride goes before a fall and that after falling, instead of being humble, Newton doubled down and walked out on the press conference.
Oh for Pete’s sake. If a man is acting like a BOY...
The people feeding this crap are the ones calling each other ni&&a...and telling US we don’t understand...
Romanowski a disgrace??? Really?? Pfffttt...
Newton acted like a boy. Period.
Newton acted like an eight year old girl at the post game press conference.
