What were the best Super Bowl commercials of 2016? The funniest? The cleverest?
Most brands played it safe this year, but a few big game ads were still memorable thanks to celebrity appearances (Steve Harvey, Christopher Walken) and cute animals (wiener dogs, marmot). Several companies decided to stand out by being weird, such as Mountain Dew Kickstart's sort-of-terrifying #puppymonkeybaby and Willem Dafoe as Marilyn Monroe (yes, in that dress) for Snickers.

Totally missed it. Was that national or local?
Didn’t see it on the list

I didn’t watch one second of the game, nor any of the pre or post game blather.
Christopher Walken is in my acting hall of fame just for “The Deer Hunter”.
Quicken Loans = fartmouths.
I enjoyed the solitude at the beach down the street. Hardly anyone was out.
With the exception of puppy-monkey-baby (to much like man-bear-pig) the survey results pretty much match my own choices.
Probably local for the Tampa Bay area. One of there big HQ’s is in Clearwater.
That was the only one I liked too.
If you haven’t seen it yet, catch “The Dogs of War”. It’s awesome! Walken kicks serious ass.
Least favorite, those GD anthropomorphic intestines with the runs, oh no there’s a line for the bathroom! Close second least favorite, Jeff GD Goldblum. Actually, scratch that, Goldblum was the worst.
Anti-drunk driving commercials from beer companies are weird. Helen Mirren still WB though.
Amy S and Seth R suck. Pretty much all beer commercials nowadays with people holding the bottle making sure the label is facing toward the camera.
Too many were pedestrian, I generally zone out during commercials. I missed some of these people are mentioning.
The Super Bowl babies was funny, I guess. That short Black actor whatshisname as an overprotective father was funny.
I left the tv on after, I was half to 25% listening to “James Corden” and the return of a Wazzup guys in a parody ad on his show was better than any of the real ads.
“Helen Mirren still WB though.”
I’ll second that. She’s GILFtastic!!!
I voted for the “Honda-New Truck to Love” commercial with the sheep singing to the Queen song.
I didn’t get that, either. When we lived near the New Hampshire border, we visited the Budweiser plant a number of times. At that time, they kept some of their horses there. We would park near the chain link fence and walk right up to them and pet them. It was wonderful.
Gorgeous horses, and so friendly.
PuppyMonkeyBaby was definitely the weirdest, funniest ad of the night, hands down.
