Maybe robots need to be painted dark, and have limitations for so many robots with an accent etc
They’ll have to or the sex bots won’t have any customers.
Its more a question of finding where we can contribute in a job and employers making the effort to find workers who can contribute. Robots just mean that people doing the right work can contribute more than ever, if we do it right. The transition will be awkward, but mandating non-productive hiring is not the answer.
lol
Bunch of tripe.
The new jobs created will simply replace those that are lost the same as all advances have always done.
This is an interesting thought process, but I think the gov’t dole to the gimmedats will bring things to a head much sooner as the ratio of tax-users to tax-payers grows too great.
When robots become so efficient at producing food, manufacturing materials, construction, energy production, etc... the only money you will find will be in a selected virtual reality.
We will have to have black, yellow, and red robots of course. White robot will not be required.
Hey! Robots could even become politicians...err...
I think short and medium term the more likely scenarios are that people will either work for the Government or they won’t work at all. Of course, programmers, engineers and maintainers will be needed in droves until even that will be handled by robots and AI computers. Long term however is a diffent matter...The best robots will design and build themselves. Will they become self aware? Will they love and hate, build and war? Which movie/story is the most likely scenario? Matrix, Battlestar Galactica, Terminator?
What’s robotic for “feather-bedding?”
My question is where will all these people find work?
When it all shakes out, probably only 20-40% of the current workforce will actually be employed.
The molsem robots may come with those big explosion self destruct options.
It is a fundamental economic principle that labor and capital are interchangeable. It is only a matter of cost that determines the optimum amount of labor and capital. As labor costs increase without any increase in output, it becomes more and more feasible to replace labor with capital, that is automate. The ultimate outcome of the push for higher minimum wages is that employers will find it increasingly cost effective to replace workers with machines. Consider the telephone system a few decades ago when operators connected the calls. Dial technology ended these jobs, but improved telephone services and technologies. If mgovernment had acted to preserve those telephone operators jobs, it is unlikely we would have our current cell phone technology.
A set quota for all races based on population would probably be better than what it is quickly becoming. Some companies are scared to hire whites.
There are a lot of jobs people won’t want machines to do, whether taking care of other people or maintaining the machines.
