I am still loving my Samsung Gear 2 smart watch after well over a year. It still holds a charge for two or three days depending on how I use it. I put a neat looking Rolex face on it that I copied from Google Images when I first got it. I loaded it up with a lot of apps; it is more useful and easier to use than I initially imagined it would be. Of course it cost a lot less than an Apple watch.

I am curious how much anyone here is enjoying the Apple Watch after using it for a few months.

Speaking for myself and my girlfriend, we wear ours daily and find them extremely useful. I stopped wearing my $3500 rose gold Sturhrling limited edition turbilon meteorite dial watch in favor of my black stainless steel Apple Watch and have not put it on since I got the Apple Watch. My girlfriend stopped wearing her diamond encrusted Movado (well, she will wear that for a special evening occasion), and she hasn't worn her diamond Rolex is sitting in her safe, unworn.

My Apple Watch is helping me meet some exercise and weight loss goals, and I don't have to continually reach for my iPhone to see who's calling or texting. I can answer the call on my watch if necessary, and I can reply to a text by either sending a quick response from a set of choices, or I can dictate a response through Siri and either send it as a voice message or as text. Siri on the Watch is superb as accurate dictation taker.

For my girlfriend, she finds she can now see all the calls she used to miss because her iPhone was buried in her purse and the call timed out before she could open the purse, dig around moving all the stuff women naturally carry in the suitcases they claim are purses trying to find where the phone has fallen, usually under her makeup kit. In any case, she now can answer the call, or ignore it without digging only to find it wasn't important anyway, or see a text at a glance, etc.

The Apple Watches also give turn-by-turn directions while walking, driving, etc.

As for watch faces, the Apple Watch has multiple choices of watch faces. . . Including some very nice classic faces, and customizable faces where the user can add the complications he or she wants. For my Apple Watch I prefer one that cycles through background photos of my girlfriend, daughters, granddaughter, my cat, my late mother, other family members, and merely shows the date and time in 24 hour format, as well as an indicator of any missed alerts. That's all I want on my watch face.

The date and time automatically change between black or white depending on the contrasting color of the background photo to best show them.
