Ted Cruz's claims about CNN are 'false'
cnn money ^ | 2-3-2016 | Brian Stelter

The controversy stems from a CNN scoop that was broadcast Monday night, minutes before the Iowa caucuses began. Reporter Chris Moody received information from the Carson campaign that he would be taking a break from the campaign trail after Iowa.

Moody, and the other CNN reporters who followed up on the report, said Carson would continue campaigning after taking a break at home in Florida. His next stop, they said, would be Washington, D.C., for the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday.

During CNN's live coverage, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash called the move "very unusual," but said nothing about Carson dropping out of the race.

Somewhere along the way, the story got twisted. Cruz campaign aides alerted supporters in Iowa that Carson might be a goner. Before long there were allegations that the Cruz campaign had suppressed Carson's vote total by spreading rumors that Carson was giving up on the race.

Shortly after the CNN report came out, Carson's campaign downplayed the significance, saying the candidate needed a fresh set of clothes. Meanwhile, political analysts generally agreed with Tapper and Bash's assessment that it was unusual for a presidential candidate to not rush to New Hampshire. Virtually all of Carson's rivals hurried to New Hampshire after the caucuses.

The next morning, Carson's side started lambasting Cruz for "dirty tricks." This prompted a half-apology from Cruz that pointed a finger at CNN.

I already gave you a quote from Donald Trump on his practice of buying politicians. Now don’t tell me you question what Trump said with his own mouth. That would be a bridge too far.

If you have any kind of link/video/transcript I’d love it.

So there IS a record of Trump bribing Atlantic City officials.

Got it.

But for some reason Cruz fans have that link in super secret lock down mode.

Ok.

So, he admitted it - big deal. He was a businessman and he understands how these politicians operate. Just look at the big bucks pouring into their campaigns. I rest my case.

I’m trying to figure this all out. So who exactly is lying? Tapper? Or did the Carson campaign confirm that Carson was taking a couple days off or whatever and they imagined/stretched it/lied about that?

Yeah, who can’t love Carson. But he’s not ready.

You’ll like this:
My 90 year old hillbilly meighbor told me today: “I’LL NEVER VOTE FOR THAT LYING G-DAMN YANKEE!”
LOL! She’s a pistol, and I believe her.
She started out a Jeb fan, I may eventually get her to switch to Cruz instead of Rubio in the primary... If I tread carefully.
In the general I don’t think she’ll vote for Hillary even if Trump’s the nominee.

From http://caselaw.findlaw.com/nj-superior-court/1349001.html:

On June 11, 1993, Trump submitted an application to CRDA for a determination that it was eligible for investment tax credits for a proposed $28.6 million hotel redevelopment project. Trump’s project called for the redevelopment of the city block abutting the boardwalk between the Trump Plaza Hotel-Casino and Caesars Hotel-Casino. The block was located in the Corridor Area which was an area previously identified by CRDA for redevelopment. The site was occupied by the former Holiday Inn Hotel, the rusting steel structure of the aborted Penthouse Hotel-Casino project, some undeveloped lots and a few private residences and small businesses. Included within the site were the properties of defendants Banin, Coking and Sabatini.

Trump’s project proposed creation of a 361-room hotel by rehabilitation of the Holiday Inn building; removal of the dilapidated Penthouse steel structure; construction of surface parking and a driveway bisecting the block from Missouri Avenue to the entrance of the Trump Plaza Hotel; and creation of a park or privately-owned landscaped area along Pacific Avenue. The project also called for construction of a two-story porte-cochere at the Trump Plaza entrance spanning Columbia Place, the public street between Trump Plaza and the site, as well as linkage of the renovated hotel to Trump Plaza by way of a sky bridge over Columbia Place near the Boardwalk. The project was to be completed in two phases.

Trump already controlled most of the land required for the project through a lease with option to buy from Midlantic Bank. However, parcels in the area proposed for the driveway, surface parking, and the landscaped park area were held by other owners. Because Trump had previously been unable to acquire these privately-owned parcels, CRDA was requested to use its power of eminent domain for their acquisition.

Dr. Ben Carson SCREWED his own succesful campaign with an ineptness not seen since The Three Stooges.

Two weeks before the Iowa vote one-half of his campaign leadership QUIT.

Donald Trump viciously slimed and slandered Dr. Carson four weeks before the Iowas vote, suggesting that Dr. Ben Carson is a violent sociopath.

Yet, we asked now to believe that Donald Trump (who stupidly skipped the Iowa Debate because of an arrogant Napoleon-esqe style over confidence) ...

LOST Iowa due to because Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz re-tweeted a CNN news flash that Ben Carson was suspected of wanting to cancel his campaign after a disasterous 4th place finish.

Sheesh ....

Why would any Iowa voter even believe the alleged nonsense that Dr. Ben Carson really IS NOT serious about a POTUS campaign ?

Because it happens to be theory that happens to fit the FACTS of the DEBACLE of the Ben Carson campaign.

I am a fan of Dr. Carson. Sent him a nice sum of money when he spoke the truth about jihadists. But if he wants to be in politics he has to get a thicker skin and be willing to fight for what he believes in. I still like him but he is not ready for what the Clinton organization is gonna bring.

I would not be happy if I sent a nice sum of money to a candidate who left Iowa early and announced that he would not go to New Hampshire or South Carolina to campaign for at least three days in the week right before the New Hampshire primary.

I'd be even angrier if my candidate said the reason he was not campaigning for three days during a very critical week was because he needed to fly home to get a change of clothes.

Carson wants media attention without putting in the effort to campaign. This is all his own doing. He's as much to blame as CNN for leaving the impression he was dropping out.

And Trump is just whining about this because that's what he does. He's just a sore loser.

We had a 94 & a 98 Cherokee, but 2WD, both. I wish we still had the 94. Such a pretty Jeep (dark blue)
At that time, DH was putting crazy mileage on them for work, so we traded them about every 3 yrs.

My 90 had just over 16,000 miles when I sold in 2005. (I never drive) It looked almost new, too. The front windows had to be replaced, all new tires, & a water pump + I’d get everything serviced every time it was in sand, but that was it.
GREAT vehicle!

It had some weird thing with the oil pressure being unusually high that nobody could ever figure out, but no actual trouble.

I agree with everything you said but you assumed Carson was my candidate because I sent him a check for saying something I thought needed to be said. He wasn’t then and he isn’t now.

“A cheater ...”

Think about how really stupid that sounds. This is a presidential election. Not an elementary school math test. Nobody “cheated.”
