From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Loggins and Messina is an American rock-pop duo consisting of Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina who achieved their success in the early to mid-1970s. Among their well-known songs are "Danny's Song", "House at Pooh Corner", and "Your Mama Don't Dance". After selling more than 16 million records and becoming one of the leading musical duos of the 1970s,[1] Loggins and Messina broke up in 1976. Although Messina would find only limited popularity following the breakup, Loggins went on to be a 1980s hitmaker. In both 2005 and 2009, Loggins and Messina have rejoined for United States tours.

“do you know what the Jim Messina song with Poco that was the precursor to Angry Eyes or Good Friend???”
Are you perhaps thinking of one of these?
Kind Woman
A Child’s Claim to Fame
You Better Think Twice
It so happens I have Poco on vinyl.
You better think twice is the only song credited to Jimmy.
Man, those were the days. I dropped a comment on the youtube link talking about the memories this album brought back.
Got an immediate reply from the poster thanking me. Nice.
They also did “My Music”.
it was a live electric set with a solo by Jim and i didn't catch the name just that they said it was before L&M but had all the same flavor,
