I have doubts about Trump, but the article is a cheap shot.

From 1999:

RUSSERT: Partial-birth abortion — the eliminating of abortion in the third trimester. Big issue in Washington. Would President Trump ban partial-birth abortion?

TRUMP: Well, look. I’m very pro-choice. I hate the concept of abortion. I hate it, I hate everything it stands for. I cringe when I hear people debating the subject. But you still — I just believe in choice. And again, it may be a little bit of a New York background, because there is some different attitude in different parts of the country, and I was raised in New York, grew up and worked and everything else in New York City. But I am strongly for choice, and yet I hate the concept of abortion.

RUSSERT: But you would not ban it.

TRUMP: No.

RUSSERT: Or ban partial-birth abortion.

TRUMP: No, I would — I would — I am pro-choice in every respect, as far as it goes. I just hate it.

In case you haven’t noticed, you’re single issue (anti-abortion) candidate was extremely unsuccessful with the current senate and is not even close to winning the GOP nomination.

Trump is smart enough not to make this election about abortion. It needs to be about jobs.

To address abortion, we need to change Congress. Until then the President is pretty limited in what he can do. And Trump has already said he’d stop funding Planned Parenthood until they quit abortions, and that taxpayers should not have to fund abortions.

Why? Saying “I don’t want to talk about abortion but I’m pro-life” is actually exactly the same saying “I’m personally against abortion but I don’t think we should do anything about it”.

why? i’m just curious.

if people think the country is in that much trouble that what are probably a few hundred abortions a year for incest are less important than the survival of the country, they should say so and stop bobbing and weaving.

it’s not the position everyone agrees with, but it MUST be one’s position if they support trump.

“knowing in one’s heart” that he will see the light is a bit of a risk, AGAIN, if that issue is that important to you

“Let me be clear...” Followed by mush. I think I’ve heard somewhere before...

Not a fan at all of this particular writer or website, to say the least, but Trump is absolutely clueless about abortion, or any of the moral, constitutional, or legal principles that argue against it.

If he’s pro-life, I’m a multi-billionaire.

Excuse me now, I have to go figure out how to pay the light bill...

The only jobs Trump will create are government jobs. Everything he promises will increase taxes and grow government.

There is nothing about this article that is a cheap shot.

Trump needs to be honest about his positions about the specific issues associated with being Pro-Life.

“I have doubts about Trump, but the article is a cheap shot.”

If that last paragraph was in the letter, then what kind of specifics are they waiting for?

Appoint pro-abortion judges? That would require an abortion ideologue that Trump doesn’t seem to be, to put it mildly.

No, just someone who is honestly Pro-Life.

The only jobs Trump will create are government jobs.

Trump has promised to cut government. You've not been listening to him, or you would know how false your comment is.

So, you think Reagan had an open-ended acceptance of abortions based on the age of the fetus?

JANUARY 2015

First he states he is in support of Abortion for Rape, Incest and Health of the Mother.

Then Trump was asked about a abortion by a woman being pregnant, and not from rape or incest, and Trump answered that it depends on how far along the baby is.

"It depends when"

INTERVIEWER: "So say a woman is pregnant, and it is not in any of those exceptions [rape/incest]categories, and she chooses to have an abortion"

TRUMP: "it depends when, it depends when"

I just don't want to talk about that right now. Everybody knows my views and I think my views are very plain," Trump said.

That is a fair statement. Everyone knows he is pro-abortion; including partial birth abortion.
