In case you haven’t noticed, you’re single issue (anti-abortion) candidate was extremely unsuccessful with the current senate and is not even close to winning the GOP nomination.
Trump is smart enough not to make this election about abortion. It needs to be about jobs.
To address abortion, we need to change Congress. Until then the President is pretty limited in what he can do. And Trump has already said he’d stop funding Planned Parenthood until they quit abortions, and that taxpayers should not have to fund abortions.
The only jobs Trump will create are government jobs. Everything he promises will increase taxes and grow government.
Many Trump supporters are also single issue: “build the wall”.
That means they are ignoring large swaths of Trump’s character and track record. That is risky as well.
We must look at the whole package on all of the candidates, which means you cannot shout down all discussion with “he promised to build the wall!!!”
Congress didn't mandate that abortions be legal, SCOTUS did. Remind me again who appoints SCOTUS justices.
Reasoned response. Sadly it will go over their heads. Anything to hang their anti-Trump on will do - even though, as you state, the President cannot change what the law currently is -
