Tonight on the Mark Levin Radio Show, Ted Cruz told CR's Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin that he is challenging Donald Trump to a one on one debate. He suggested that the debate be held on talk radio, and that it be a Megyn Kelly free zone.
Listen:
Cruz Challenges Trump To Debate (Audio)
The challenge comes after Trump said he would not participate in the Fox News debate on Thursday January 28, 2016.
Cruz told Levin, "the fact that Donald is now afraid to appear on the debate stage. That he doesn't want his record questioned. I think that reflects a lack of respect for the men and women of Iowa."
Cruz said if Trump is afraid of Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, or Megyn Kelly hosting a debate that he is willing to do an hour long head to head debate with no moderator.
Developing.
Trump is much much more than a casino owner
Try to keep up
Trump is too much of a coward to accept.
No he would not for fear that it would expose him as the fake he is and it will expose all of the loud talking lemmings on Freerepublic...idiots, all of them, who blindly follow another loud talking schoolyard punk in DJT.
yes, I think you are right. He can’t risk getting into a detailed debate with Ted Cruz. Ted is sharp, and focused. Trump is just emotional and going to build the wall..
Regardless of ones preference on either Trump or Cruz, the challenge will resonate with Iowans and they will welcome watching it. They are thinkers for the most part.
They would want Trump to accept. If he does not step up and accept a debate challenge, it could help Cruz immensely. All rules aside.
Right...... Duckin Donald, scared of women, scared of Cruz.
Read the RNC rules for yourself, of course cruz wouldn’t know just like he didn’t know he was a canadian until a few months ago...
âEach debate sanctioned by the Standing Committee on Presidential Primary Debates shall be known as a âSanctioned Debate.â Any presidential candidate who participates in any debate that is not a Sanctioned Debate shall not be eligible to participate in any further Sanctioned Debates.â

Ails mocked AFTER Duckin Donald picked up his marbles and ran home.
Not afraid of some blonde girl, you say? Must be Cruz being neck and neck with him in Iowa that scares Duckin Donald.
“Trump will be attending a fundraiser event for the vets. Thatâs more important than debating Cruz”
If Trump loves the military so much, why didn’t he join himself?
“Trump is a Casino owner.”
A golf course is a casino? Get real.
That’s going to be quite a sight, an empty debate podium with Duckin Donald’s name on it. Reminiscent of Clint Eastwood’s empty chair.
Does a townhall where questions come from the voters count? Is an unmoderated discussion a debate? How about a "candidate forum"?
They could do it, and further turn the establishment on its head if they really wanted to.
Already debunked. RNC rules prohibit an empty lectern.
Yes sir Bob, Cruz sure looks panicked. Cruz ain’t the one crying about some girl makin fun of him.
“Cruz goes to court to get a judgment that certifies that he is a natural born citizen.” Hey, Einstein, a Declaratory Judgment has as much standing as a comic book.
NBC is settled, Cruz knows it, Duckin Donald knows it, otherwise he would have his army of lawyers filing the NBC suit yesterday morning.
Damn if this ain’t a turn-about, TrumPETs trying to hide behind RNC rules.
One on one debate against Cruz would be like taking a water pistol to a gunfight.
Should we bookmark that?
Trump; didn’t say that about the debates - I did. I see you are a low information voter. Of course, Cruz can debate - he’s a danged lawyer - that’s what they do. However, he did get his butt handed to him inthe last debate by not only Trump;, but Rubio too. Don’t forget - Rubio is also a lawyer - they are all talk - no action types.
Sure! And maybe we should start a pool to guess how low the Fox ratings will go.
Dang, ALL the lemmings are now trying to hide behind the RNC! Duckin Donald has jumped on his jet, headin for Mommy.
