It looks like we got as lucky as God cold make us as it was a hemorrhagic bleed and not a clot or other that would have caused drooping/dysfunctional muscles.
Body works but communications are suffering - words are clear but has trouble getting thoughts from brain to mouth (and writing).
Praise God that she was able to let me know it is 100% her in there and that she understands everything being communicated to her.
Prognosis is good for eventual full recovery but it will be some weeks before the body absorbs the blood and true healing occurs.
Motor skills are good.
It has clarified what is really important and I will be absent from FR for awhile as I help her in her recovery. I suppose some will be happy for that and I understand fully - that does not mean I believe anyone here is crass enough to be happy for her problems - just that I can be a royal pain.
At any rate - keep up the fight and help us win the WH.
FReep On!
Respectfully and gratefully,
Bob

You have our prayers, trebb, and hold on to the fact that time is always needed for stroke symptoms to ease off.
May our Lord be pleased to lend you and your dear wife peace and patience as she improves.

Prayers for your wife and you.
Prayers up for you both!
My husband suffered a bleed in the right side of his brain in 2001 which effected his left side and speech. He was in, inpatient rehab for a month and came home in a wheel chair. He was so determined he was going to drive again that he continued with outpatient rehab and in about 6 months he was driving. Since that time he has had a second valve transplant (first was in 1993) this one 2010 along with bypasses, and then a stent in heart and leg. He health has declined since that time, but he still manages to get around but no more driving. I think age is playing a part in his declining health now plus all the surgery's he has had . He is 86 now.
Prayer does work.
Absolutely. How scary that must be for both of you.
I will pray for her (and you).
So very sorry. Prayers up, of course.
Know that you and your wife our in my prayers.
God bless.
