RETURN of the X-files tonight Video at link http://www.fox.com/the-x-files?cmpid=ppc_goog_FOX_xfiles_ss_2015
See post this thread #10 from Tom Guy
The link posted will give you link to work of 13 years ago baby and all. Did the sleep together? Imagination is key. Do remember she did become PG after asking him to donate for her. The baby was born, several episodes on birth and her attempt to keep the baby safe. Apparently babe was given up for adoption (don’t remember that eppy.) It was getting really weird in the story line towards the end of the run.
Tomorrow night will be episode #2. Remaining four episodes will be broadcast Monday nights through February on FOX.
The X-Files was re-opened after Ted O’Malley was discredited and Sveta was made to disappear.
In the coda, we learn the Cigarette Smoking Man, now aged with lung cancer, has caught wind of Mulder and Scully’s return to the Bureau.
The mini-series should be a roller-coaster ride for the fans of the show.
You don’t need to watch the original to enjoy the reboot. As it is, the new mini-series stands on its own as retrospective look at the X-Files universe.
It may seem strange but I really enjoyed the episode tonight and look forward to the remaining in the run. The plot did seem to encompass much of what is seen today in ‘real life’ ie...the tv image of ‘you know who (choppers) being interviewed on late night tv. The timing is right in the headlines we see now on a day to day basis. If we only had investigators now as dedicated as Mulder and Sculley. Thirteen years ago this would have been seen as totally off the wall. After what we’ve seen in the past 10 years...now, not so much ‘fiction’ after all. FEMA, Martial law, globalists, etc.
The alien creature was really good depiction other than the fact when wrapped in the blanket? body bag? it seemed as stiff as a board when carted off. Rigor mortis in such a short time?
Thanks!
Way before the net was discovered in this part of the world. It sounds like fun. Immediately after the Sun view was seen we would anxiously await the next week’s episode. Had a large satellite dish and would catch the network feeds from ? to ? every Sunday morning before they aired on Sunday nights. Then, we’d watch again on Sunday night. Those were the days :-))
Before Google changed a good quantity of URL’s last year, there was a terrific site from Europe that had episode after episode on line of many, many different tee vee show series. X-files being just one of many. Alas, the site became a part of TV Guide when the moves took place and is now no longer available.
Liked the Roswell recreation, but smart ass Mulder is better than tired, bitter Mulder. Anderson just looked like she wasn't into it.Since Season 8 & 9, were unnecessary, this sure isnt helping the franchise. Much rather watch my season 1-7 DVD's. than what I saw last night. Maybe it will improve, I am hopeful.
p.s.........what was with the digs at conservatives?
Know of any replays or where to get the full feature?
OMG so sorry. haven’t a clue. Perhaps FOX will re-air at some future date or some brave buccaneer will eventually post a copy on You tube in time. Suggest you turn on FOX tonight and sit down in front of your tee vee screen until the program is aired. Possible they might rebroadcast a bit of it for those who missed the first episode. ALSO, and not a certainty if you have a Roku device search for X-files on it. We were able to find bits and pieces of the mini-series just a few weeks ago - before FOX had even aired the program itself. It is supposed that was found on You Tube (it was found by someone other than myself).
I feel your pain :-))
Say what you will..to a true X-files follower there is seldom any episode that has absolutely no saving moments. It will take time to get in the swing of things -trouble with a short run...that time will come and the series will be ending. Can you be more precise as to the conservative digs? Sorry, those were missed or never heard. Just hearing the music intro was more than enough to get on a high and in those misty clouds until it was over. Perhaps they were aired when taking time for a ‘Hillary moment’ Rather can anti-conservative, I was hearing more establishment elite, world dominance of the liberal thinking inside our government.
Sounded a lot like du talking points.
No, I did see/hear Ted and Fox exchange. That is remembered, and now that you mention it remember Fox speaking of talking points Other than that, most of the conversation went whoosh over my head other than the portions pertaining to the subject of interest at the moment. Ted did come across as Bill O’R, in fact, The Name was mentioned in the conversation. Do agree with you that the sharp, smart ass Mulder is why he became so popular. The tired, moody, beaten down Mulder is rather slow and perhaps not as easy to like or enjoy. Have hopes to see some of the spark return in future broadcasts. It’s much like walking into a very cold body of water. Takes a bit of time to get warmed up to it.
Didn't that scene say northwest New Mexico? If so, it was the Aztec, NM incident (hoax) they were depicting there. Roswell, NM is in the southeastern part of the state, 375 miles from Aztec.
Didn’t notice the reference NW NM. Nice catch. Saw the NM, 1947 heading and assumed Roswll
You realize you linked to an article that praises Sam Francis???
I missed the date, but caught the location. Well, Roswell was in 1947, but is in SE NM, Aztec (the hoax) was in 1948, and in the NW. So either they are depicting something altogether different, or they got their facts wrong about one or the other. Who knows?
There's a pretty good series available from Amazon.com by Richard Phillips call "The Rho Agenda". The books are "The Second Ship", "Immune", and "Wormhole". They're pretty decent reads and they take off from the 1948 Aztec side of things. There are even three prequel books that stemmed from the original series that are pretty good, and he's continuing the story from the original trilogy. I like his writing style (a little over the top in areas, but the storylines are pretty good).
We turned it on at 10:00. After counting 8 commercials and no X-Files, at 10:05 we turned off the light and went to sleep. I guess this is a new strategy — make the viewers sit through a bunch of crap before starting the show.
It began locally around 9:15. The Playoff game, the local news on FOX station and then The X-Files and amid lots of ads. The programming schedule was definitely off time. But we persevered and sat there watching..watching..watching all the while know there was something out there somewhere. Hopefully tonight is better planned as to time element.
Football game and postgame show ran over, it ran full length about 25 minutes later than scheduled.
Yes, I’m fully cognizant of that. Nonetheless, I thought the commentary regarding the show is worthy of consideration.
