Media personality Glenn Beck administered a mock presidential "oath of office" to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) as he endorsed him on stage—and Cruz got the oath wrong when he took it.
"What is the oath of office that you have to take?" Beck asked Cruz after the Texas Senator joined him on stage after Beck's more-than-half-hour-long speech endorsing Cruz.
"What-what?" Cruz replied.
"Dear God, if you don't know this, everything else-" Beck joked. "When you raise your right hand, what are you going to say?"
"I pledge to honor and defend the Constitution of the United States of America," Cruz replied.
Technically speaking, that's not the oath of office for the president of the United States.

The question is how much is Cruz paying his advisers and why did they let this happen?
Glenn Beck has become such a windbag. a self-righteous pontificator that sees himself as some kind of a prophet . so full of himself but at the same time silly and nonsensical most of the time. Have you ever tried to watch his TV show / radio show? 3 guys yukking it up. pure BS. he lost me some years back. Teddy bears to the border? Give me a break!
Who knew that Beck could anoint the next president. I knew he was a tad egotistical. And they claim Trump is. Beck has suddenly displaced the entire American electorate. At least, that is what Cruz evidently thinks.
Cruz would be wise to distance himself from the nutty Beck. These types of games only makes him look juvenile as Beck is.
I know Davis Barton is the chief executive of Glenn Beck’s ‘Mercury One’ charity, and he is now Ted Cruz’s chief officer for the Ted Cruz PAC, Keep the Promise. Cruz should dump the dummy and get someone else to run things at the PAC.
Beck just called Trump a progressive and got only a light cheer. Maybe some people thinking about switching up to the Trump Train?
Trump is going to destroy this goon. Can’t wait to see Trump’s responses to his attacks.
Can you imagine the outrage if someone had administered the Oath to Trump at a rally?
The outrage wwould be Yugggggggggggge.
It would be the opening salvo against Trump in the upcoming debate.

I have to agree that Beck is a bit of a weirdo and this is a non-helpful endorsement though.
