Media personality Glenn Beck administered a mock presidential "oath of office" to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) as he endorsed him on stageâand Cruz got the oath wrong when he took it.
"What is the oath of office that you have to take?" Beck asked Cruz after the Texas Senator joined him on stage after Beck's more-than-half-hour-long speech endorsing Cruz.
"What-what?" Cruz replied.
"Dear God, if you don't know this, everything else-" Beck joked. "When you raise your right hand, what are you going to say?"
"I pledge to honor and defend the Constitution of the United States of America," Cruz replied.
Technically speaking, that's not the oath of office for the president of the United States.

I support Trump. Dislike Beck, but wiki has him born in Everett Washington. Is this false?
Well, Hussein and Roberts flubbed on his first oath of
office - almost like it was an intentional flub to show
his contempt for all that. I don’t know how Obama did on
his second oath of office. I quit watching him do ANYTHING
so I don’t have to be upset.
I think he got the big head after that DC rally. He went all religious kooky.
He somehow has some kind of superiority thing going on which makes him totally unbearable.
Aria, Mercer owns Cambridge Analytics. He would just be moving money from one account to another and still be paying his own taxes. :-)
Hadn’t made it to your correction before posting. Cheers.
That PAC is already running Cruz ads in Florida. Keeping him afloat most likely.
I think Obama took his second oath on the Koran. Nobody mentioned it much.
No, Beck jumped the shark a while ago. Cruz’s response showed he was caught unaware live.
Cruz needs to manage his events better. It’s his race, he should drive the agenda at his events. Poor campaign management here.
I felt bad for Ted. He looked so perplexed! He needs to dump Beck now.
BTW, how many people were in that audience? The sound made it seem like about 100 people.
That reminds me of Obama putting a mock up Presidential seal on his podium when campaigning.
Well, that is why he puts up with it like a puppet on a string.
He has that natural pained look on his face. He can’t help it. That is is face. But when he is really pained, the guy looks damn miserable. You can even see it in a dinky video.
When we look back on this election, this is the moment that it turned.
I agree. It is the Fred Thompson Fire hat disaster. I will never forget how ridiculous it was for Fred to complain about putting on a fire hat at a fire station of all places. He said it was silly too. I knew then and there he was done and he was. This is over for Cruz. I thought maybe due to another debate he might redeem himself but no. Too late. He is toast. Might as well go back to Texas and get a loan from GS. Get his wife back to work and maybe start preparing to be put on the Supreme Court.
Everything the government subsidizes increases the cost. Health care costs are enormous because of Medicaid and Medicare.
And that was before Obama care.
Ronald Reagan was right in 1964.
There were more than that, but they were probably silent at the spectacle before them. LOL
Seattle talk station KVI has dropped Glenn Beck from their daily line up. Is this signal that Beck is on a downward fall?
Maybe you’re right. The clapping was really...non-existent.
Cruz should have stayed away from ‘nut job’ Beck, this guy is like ‘poison’ to anyone that comes around him...
Well all I can say is, I hope he can run as Senator again because Beck just ‘deep sixed’ him by doing this...
WOW!!!
The question is how much is Cruz paying his advisers and why did they let this happen?

Romney was sold down the river by “advisors” and so will Ted. The nice thing about Trump is that he has people around him that are loyal that have worked for him for years.
Notice how well the Trump Organization keeps things close to the vest? That is loyalty. Ted Cruz doesn’t have an organization behind him, which is really unfortunate. That is why I hate these “consultants.”
A battle of wits between two unarmed men.
No worries. I may be a Cruz supporter, but can’t believe Ted would let this guy near his campaign. I consider myself a realist and it seems like the wheels are coming off of Ted’s campaign real fast.
