Media personality Glenn Beck administered a mock presidential "oath of office" to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) as he endorsed him on stageâand Cruz got the oath wrong when he took it.
"What is the oath of office that you have to take?" Beck asked Cruz after the Texas Senator joined him on stage after Beck's more-than-half-hour-long speech endorsing Cruz.
"What-what?" Cruz replied.
"Dear God, if you don't know this, everything else-" Beck joked. "When you raise your right hand, what are you going to say?"
"I pledge to honor and defend the Constitution of the United States of America," Cruz replied.
Technically speaking, that's not the oath of office for the president of the United States.

I can only think the association with Beck has to do with Barton and PAC money. He has to have the money.
It was a bad image and he will probably regret it.
Oh well, we will find out in a week.
Closest he’ll ever get, I expect.
lmao..... you got me by 48 seconds..... I was changing “underwear” to “panties”
Sadistic. Typical Beck.
Cruz is no Washington.

Beck probably doesn’t need the extra room. He needs a diaper.
The problem is these restrictions are not imposed by Federal law, they are imposed by States. A Federal law would be yet another usurpation of States rights, and would impose certain mandatory coverage requirements on insurance companies. Premiums in States with less stringent insurance requirements would sky rocket. Sound familiar.
In 2011, Georgia passed a law allowing the purchase of insurance from outside the state carriers. No outside insurance carrier has even signed up to sell in Georgia.
I have a six pack down in the wine cellar (well, it’s a room in the cellar that stays colder than the rest - hence The Wine Cellar) in cause I run out of whatever hard stuff we usually have, or until the first hot day next summer. :)
I’m not going to lie, dforest, I do too :(
I like Ted Cruz. I don’t think it’s any secret that I prefer Trump for president, but there is no reason for me to not like Ted.
Glenn Beck is just an arrogant d*ick. I definitely do not like that guy.
I wonder if Cambridge Analytics used their psy ops to choose Beck to endorse Cruz. If so I think Mercer ought to get his money back and prepare to pay his 10 billion in back taxes.
Did he ask him, “How is your soul?” That’s always one of Beck’s faves when he interviews politicians. I just about puke when I hear it.
I had forgotten about that.
Teds whole career might be over with now. All the jokes are starting to fit a little too close to the truth.
Interstate Commerce is within the jurisdiction of Congress provided by the Constitution. (Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3).
I used to LOVE Be k I just can’t for the life of me understand what happened to him?? How could ANYONE change so much in such a short period f time??? He has gone to unbearable to watch or listen to!!!
Perhaps, but it would be a good tactical move to keep him competitive, however, I fear he has been drawn to this path by perceived desperation, and although I believe that would the wrong interpretation of the current situation, it is likely that he will continue to follow this course and it does not bode well, IMO.
I am a Trump supporter but I REALLY hate to see this happen to Cruz, what is he thinking??? Why on earth would he also go the boarder with Beck and pass out Teddy Bears?? I think this is what happens when you are beholden to donors!!! It really is a shame you put yourself in these situations!!
We didn’t have Obamacare until we did. Removing restrictions between states has been proposed before.
We have a relative in Ohio who due to county restrictions can’t get a Medicare supplement that we have in NC and needs to pay several times what we pay for less coverage. Trump’s idea would help.
Please line up to make excuses.......beginning now.
