I think that the sun will go super nova in about 4 billion years, so earth may not even be here to go through the collision. Well the good news is, someday in the future, a time machine will be invented. The bad news is, it only goes forward...
Will kinda suck when they take it to the end.
...but see the episode to find out what happens

It’s mind-boggling to think that an entire galaxy the size of the Andromeda galaxy is reduced to the size of a barely visible patch of light. That is just how far it is from our planet.

Also, everything in our region of the universe is moving toward a feature called “The Great Attractor”. This is on the opposite side of the center of the Milky Way so visible light gets blocked by dust. New X-ray observations show that the Great Attractor is a massive cluster of galaxies. We are moving toward it at around 2 million mph.

Darn that global warming!

...3.75 billion years from now, Earth will be caught up amid the largest galactic event in our planet's history...That's it...I'm done.
Between future volcanic catastrophes and these galactic disasters...I'm selling the farm, dumping all my stock and heading for the Caribbean.
Oh, wait, the oceans are gonna rise, too.
I'll just run around like a chicken with my head cut off.

Ok we are soooo doomed. I guess I’ll start to cancel all of my doctors appointment and hope to get married by then.
Yet the most important question is Do I still have to clean up my apartment?

that 3.75 billion years from nowWhew, for a minute there I read 2.75 billion years from now.

Quick!
We need to move to a planet in the Triangulum Galaxy so we can view the collision without endangering ourselves.

For individual speeds you have to ask ârelative to what?â That is a question I have often asked here on FR.
Where is a stable, non-moving point that we measure the independent speed of any celestial object from ?

The collision will unfold right in front of us
This is a very, very liberal usage of the word "us" - if our incredibly distant descendants are still around to witness this event, they'll have about as much in common with us as will the incredibly distant descendants of today's cockroaches.

3.75 billion years from now Does this mean I'll have to stay up past my bedtime to see the good stuff?
Naaaa.... Milk & oreos and I'm calling it a night.
