I don’t care. I’m so tired of seeing Caucasians discriminated against in TV advertising that if they’re the majority in the Oscars... good!

In the ADT ad, the personification of strong ADT is a black guy. The thieves are white. (So much for reality.)

In the new Little Caesar’s ad, the respectable boss behind the desk is black and he slams the door in the face of the dolt white employee.

Sick of it!

Very well said...It has been that way for a few years now...A couple years ago, every single McDonald’s commercial had no one but blacks...Same with Burger King...

I’ve gotten into the habit of changing the channel every time I see a half-black character with Side Show Bob hair in a commercial. Not because of the product or the actor/actress, but because it’s become so obvious that the people who pitched the commercial had the brilliant and oh-so-original idea that they had to show someone who’s ethnic but not really black. Someone “safe” for all demographics.

Yeah, in so many commercials, blacks are beautiful, accomplished people in lovely suburban homes, using the right products, while whites (or at least the males) are dumb, clumsy doofuses who have to be set straight by their much smarter, cooler black neighbors/coworkers. Phooey. When they stop with that crap, maybe then I’ll care about the Oscars.
