Bison named Sparky survives being struck by lighting

If bison had 9 lives, Sparky has used up eight of them.

This lucky bison is a resident at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge in Iowa and managed to survive being struck by lightning in 2013.

According to a press release from the U.S. Department of Interior, Sparky's prognosis wasn't good and they weren't sure he would survive.

We are always looking for places that serve the *best* burger .... broke down and went to Ted Turner’s .... it was fair, and service was awful ... I’d never go back.

Since then, I’ve grilled bison at home, and it was better with tons of sauteed onions and fresh mushrooms. The bison doesn’t have much flavor on it’s own, IMO, but it is lean; and patties need to be very thick.
