I’m a Critical Care RN for over 20 yrs. If you’re over 65, the mortality rate of a broken hip at one year is 50%. The difference is mobility. Those that get back mobile do well. So. When the nurses are torturing you to get up and get moving, there’s a method and reason to their sadistic madness.
