BTW I never EVER forgot that conversation. I kept that concept of Political Judo with me, ever since. It is a useful tool.

Naw. At the most fundamental level political judo requires acknowledgement from your opponent that they’ve been judoed. That involves them recognizing their hypocrisy on the matter. Our opponents do not. It also requires a referee (read: the American public) to adjudicate such a move. A perfect example is using a judo-like move to take homophobe and transform it into hoplophobe, or christophobe for that matter. Other than making us feel cute about our cleverness it is an ineffective tactic. Satisfy yourself with the binary of hitting harder than they do. Be willing to go where they won’t.

The underlying assumption to all of this is that there is still a propaganda war to be fought.
