What in the world just happened?!
That's what everyone and anyone is thinking Sunday night after watching the dramatic—and by we really mean dramatic—final moments of Miss Universe 2015.
At first, host Steve Harvey made it perfectly clear that Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez was the winner. There were hugs, cheers, flowers, a standing ovation and everything you expect from a happy moment.
Things quickly took a turn, however, when Steve stopped the party.
"Okay folks, I have to apologize. The first runner-up is Colombia," he explained as the camera panned to Miss USA and Miss Philippine. In other words, Miss Universe 2015 is Miss Philippine Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach!
Yes, it was awkward. Yes, the camera crews, audience and host didn't know what to do. And somehow the show went on.
"Listen folks, let me just take control of this. This is exactly what's on the card," Harvey shared while holding up the results. "I will take responsibility for this. It was my mistake. It was on the card. Horrible mistake. It is my mistake."
He continued while trying to hold back tears, "Please don't hold it against the ladies. We feel so badly but it's been a great night."
Great night? More like unforgettable night!

Miss Philippines had her hair up and was wearing her blue gown when she was crowned, that picture isn’t her. Maybe it’s last year’s Miss Columbia.

Disagree completely, I’m afraid.
In my own humble (yet expert!) opinion, both Miss Columbia and Miss Philippines were far more exotic, appealing, and beautiful than the rather generic Miss USA contestant. She looked to me like the models they put on picture frames at K-Mart. I see women in the malls and (everywhere) every day who are much more beautiful than our Miss Generica.
She did have a nice figure though...
