Democratic leaders are unanimous in declaring a complete victory over House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and his close allies, who wrote the $1.1 trillion omnibus budget without asking House conservatives for any input ...
The Democrats’ victory, and Republican Ryan’s defeat, was garishly displayed when his omnibus got more Democratic votes in the House and in the Senate than it got Republican votes.
“I said I would not accept a lot of [conservative] ideological riders that were attached to a big budget deal,†President Barack Obama said Friday, at his end-of-year press conference. “And because of some terrific negotiations by the Democrats up on Capitol Hill and I think some pretty good work by our legislative staff here… it was a good win,†he said. “We met our goals,†he said.
In 2015, “we wanted to get rid of sequestration, we were able to do that,†gloated the Democrats’ leader in the Senate, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV). “We wanted to make sure there is parity between defense and the middle class, we wanted to make sure that we kept these poison pills off the legislation… All three goals we had, we accomplished,†he said. Ryan’s omnibus deal “caps off a successful year for Senate Democrats,†he added.
Well, if you would’ve told me this year that we’d be standing here celebrating the passage of an omnibus bill, with no poison pill riders, at higher [spending] levels above sequesters than even the president requested, I wouldn’t have believed it, but here we are,†Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer told reporters ...
“Almost anything, the Republican leadership in the Senate achieved this year, they achieved on Democratic terms… Democrats had an amazingly good year,†he declared.
Over in the House, the Democrats’ upbeat press conference began with laughter, according to the transcript.

Even the temperate GOP supporters, like Michael Gallagher for instance, are saying this.
It can’t be hidden.
This is why Trump and Cruz are number one and two.
Ryan and Rebus Republicans don’t know how to win.
Because with them there is no there there.
They’re saying he’s one of them. But that’s the same thing anyway.
Just wondering, what did we gain, with Boehner leaving and Paul Ryan becoming Speaker???
I heard Ryan say we’re not going to do bills like this budget thing in the future, that the process will change, etc. Well, he’s in leadership , the top dog in the House, so he can make it happen, if he chooses to do so.
So does Ryan want to fight for conservative values and principles, or is he a get along/go along type, who is eager to hear Democrats and Obama praise his work?? Which is it???

Ryan’s use of the word “ideological” to describe founding principles of the USA indicates that he regards advancing the liberal agenda and expansion of big, top-down government as the definition of a “win”. As do the rest of the RINO Unipartiers.
In order for the left to be defeated, they must be defunded. Ryan has ensured they will be well funded for the next election cycle.

And why shouldn’t they gloat? They’re right - the pubbies did give away the store. The American taxpayer got screwed.
The only thing Ryan can claim we got was that American oil companies can now export oil. They should be able to, but with the price of oil so low now it’s not a current crisis, and most certainly not giving away EVERYTHING for.
The GOPee did the same in their last lane duck session a year ago. They have not changed one iota.
As if the gift he gave the democrats wasn’t full of their “ideological” principles.

In my paranoid mind, I remain convinced that Hillary/Demwits have FBI Files on many Republicans. Perhaps something in Ryan’s past? What a profound embarrassment he is.

Its all according to what is termed winning. The GOP caters to it’s donor class and corporate lobbyists. That is their constituency and they won.
