Is this the same place all the copper had been mined?
So, not aliens?
I thought the gladius had a steel blade....
Watching “The Curse of Oak Island” is kind of fun. They’ve found some interesting things. Some theories are kind of kooky, but they’re not the ones presenting them. They just want to find what’s there.
Well, there are a lot of Little Caesar’s pizzerias around.
oak island, the longest running snoozefest around (Yes I’ve watched every episode lol)
Getting mighty tired of the “Could this writing on the rock indicated that Templars slept here on oak island on a stormy night In the middle of may in the year ...” (Gee, I don’t know Mr Narrator man- how about you just tell us whether it does or not, and stop with the drama?)- and getting tired of watching a whole hour of show only to know nothing more than what the preview blurb shows for next week’s show-
Ugggh- Find something significant already- a couple of years of searching to find only a few marked stones, a coupel of coins and a sword just aint cutting it entertainment wise
Oak Island?! Isn’t that the island where prospectors have been looking for buried treasure for the last 200 years but haven’t found shiite?
Yawn.
Wake me up when they find the Templar treasure.
I think it is possible that Phoenicians, Romans, and Greeks made it to the New World. Probably would have been a one way trip tho.
That’s actually good news.
The Italians owe reparations to the Native Americans, and not the US.
We’re off the hook.
I’m starting to like this Social Justice baloney.
Didn’t they find Roman era amphorae off the coast of Brazil and Roman coins in Texas?
I find it interesting that there is a Nolan family living on Oak Island. That is my maiden name although we have a different spelling and I have traced my dad’s line back to Henry Sinclair...so it is interesting that Sinclair visiting there is one of the current theories about it...and that a Nolan family lives there.
OK I give. Which pre-modern civilization did NOT visit Oak Island? And why did they all go there instead of the other 33 bazillion other islands along the NA coast? Was there a sign or something in the Atlantic - >This way to Oak Island where everybody but you has buried a fabulous treasure.
Who discovered America can only be answered in the plural. It is HIGHLY probable that in the millennia before Columbus, there were many accidental and then purposeful discoverers. Every single one of them is MEANINGLESS to the m modern world. Until Columbus established a continuing relationship between Spain/Europe and America, the fact that Brendan the Voyager ‘discovered’ some place to the west around the 6th century is just as meaningful as this story of the Romans.
Now if they were to use the word ‘encounter’ I would be less vexed! A coincidental and ephemeral visit with no lasting effect!
I watch those 2 brothers who are spending a fortune looking for treasure on Oak Island and all they have found (that I have seen) is a Roman coin.
They have more patience than I do.
There were lots of people floating around...east and west coasts.
Why would this surprise anyone?
It makes sense that the Romans would need to bring swords. They would have had to fight off everyone already on the island; The Aztecs, The Knights Templar, Space Aliens, Shakespeare, The Vikings...
Other than that, what have the Romans EVER done for us?
Who knows? There have been clovis points found here in the U.S., suggesting that Europeans were here BEFORE what is now called “native Americans.”
