Is this the same place all the copper had been mined?
No. Oak Island has been the one where they are digging for treasure in Nova Scotia. Its been a series on TV for a couple years now. I missed the last show because I watched the debate. It will repeat before the next show on Tuesday. (History channel)
The copper mine island is in Lake Superior. (also featured on the history ch, or was it H2)
Nope, that’s Isle Royale (Michigan’s only National Park, last I knew) and the Upper Peninsula a.k.a. “the U.P.” of Michigan. Gavin Menzies, the 1421 author, has a book out pinning all that Precolumbian copper mining on the Minoans.
But what I want to know is "What Plant?"
The glyph of this Sailing Boat gives a description of the copper trade with the Old World during the Bronze Age. (Copper Harbor, Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan, c.1640 BC. Photo by K. Hoenke, Ref.3)(alternative source, Wayback machine)
