VANITY POST.
Check out this series on Netflix. A good "SHTF" prepper show.
Was cut short (only 7 episodes for the 2nd season), but well worth watching.
Enjoy!

Not Denver!
Why couldn’t it have been LA, or SF, or NYC?

Along those lines I also hated when they killed Carnivale.

Great series. I was one of the crazies who sent peanuts to CBS, demanding a second season. What we got was barely enough, but it did at least close the loop a little.
Nuts!

It was a good show. I dont remember lefty preaching. Then it was gone. Prolly good cause Revolution went to crap in the last season. After a while these tv writers seem to run out of good ideas when a drama like these are produced

You can’t see mountains in Kansas. Period.
Your best hope of interesting landscapes are sinkholes south of Greensburg or rolling, cut hills east of Junction City.

Yep it was a great show. Total bummer when it got dumped. Silly network twits.

There was a little verbal Easter egg in one episode. They were trying to find someone and the location was described as "Sounds like you were out on 48, between Alex-Bell and Lytle Five Points". Those roads aren't in Kansas - they're in Ohio just south of Dayton. I rewatched the scene three times just to make sure I heard it right. It turns out one of the writers was from Dayton and tossed that in for his hometown.

Great show until the writers went off the rails - the nuclear attack was part of the "vast right wing conspiracy"? Come on.
The lunie-lefty in them destroyed a great foundation for a long-running series.

Jericho was good, but a girlfriend I was seeing at the time referred to the latter season as “a soap opera with no electricity.” LOL

It was a great show, but was canceled before the storyline was resolved, which drives me crazy. ‘Boss,’ with Kelsey Grammer suffered the same fate.

Yup. Ultimate prepper has a nuke in the basement. First season ok with the evil guy from Shelbyville (Simpsons reference). Second season was stooped. Then the same guy shows up in the Walking Dead...hummm.

I have to disagree. The premise was worse than inane, and the “reluctant hero with a mysterious past” schtick got so trite it read like a fortune cookie. There was one scene in an early episode when the townsfolk, realized that with the power out all the meat in the city was going to spoil. So rather than trying to preserve it, they throw a huge barbecue, while fallout from the upwind bombs is still coming down.
People that stupid deserve to be wiped out.
