I understood Stewart to be a lib. Yet I found him vary gracious in his depiction of Reagan.

It’s sad that is so unusual for the left, but he deserves credit for having a bit of class.

While I have been a Star Trek Fan since the 60’s, and I really liked the nextgen, there was one really leftest episode (which surprisingly I only encountered once).

It had to with the crew rebelling against Fleet authority over recovering a “cloaked” fleet prototype that Riker severed.

The crew including Picard were totally against recovering the ship because it violated a treaty about Star Fleet having cloaked ships.

There were Klingons running around everywhere, to which Reagan supposedly noted "I like them, they remind me of Congress."

Mr. President, you still can make me laugh.

I heard an interview with, IIRC Brannon Braga. He said that some big name actors, some names that would surprise many if anyone knew that they liked sci fi would come by the set of Star Trek: TNG. Some wanted to be made up as an alien in any small role to be a part of the Star Trek universe. He had to say no as SAG union rules wouldn’t let them. Had something to do with giving new actors a chance.
