So you think making fun of, mocking disabled people is attacking political correctness? I beg to differ. That is just indecent and callous.
Context is everything. Handicapped people can be jerks. They can also hide behind their disabilities to get away with things they otherwise couldn't. Those aren't untouchable issues, no. And if someone thinks they're going on, then the disabled abuser is fair game. Disabled abuser. Don't hear that very often, do you? That's the problem. You want to honour the disabled, treat them like full human beings and hold them to equal standards, including getting smacked for being jerks. That's real equality.
