I think the 'binge factor' and no commercials help significantly and enhance the viewing experience. I agree. In the few weeks prior to TWD, my wife and I binged-watched Breaking Bad, another series I had never watched a minute of while it was airing. We'd knock out 2-3 episodes in a sitting and watched the whole series in just a few weeks.
I have Netflix, Amazon Prime and HBO Go and now I'm thinking about watching The Sopranos. I've never seen it and it is regarded by many as the greatest television series ever. Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones are also on the short list.

I guess Carl didn’t have any time for him, after all. He’s probably sulking in a basement somewhere, lol.

The Blacklist is an excellent one - occasional PC nonsense, but James Spader is the best and it is very suspenseful with many plot twists.

Have you checked out Amazon's The Man In The High Castle yet? That's another one that is well-suited to binge-watching.

Hey, whatever happened to Father Gabriel?I was kind of expecting the early part of season six to be more about him. In season five, he felt team Rick were violent murderers and he was more morally upright. But when he tried to commit suicide by Sasha, she wouldn't kill him. He revealed that he left his parishoners outside to die. Then when he himself was trapped outside his church, Michonne and Carl risked their lives to let him in. There could have been a lot more character development, but then Morgan came and kind of took his place in the pacifist/warrier debate.

The Fargo series is pretty good too.

Yes, I just watched Season 2, Episode 1 of Fargo last night. I liked the first season, this one looks great, too.

Yes, and he seemed to be sincerely contrite when he spoke with Carl.
There are just so many characters in the show right now that it’s hard to do all of them justice. If they want to winnow out some Alexandria redshirts, I’m fine with it.

Try Z Nation, too...
The second season really starts getting tense and there’s some comedy in it, too.

It’s an Amazon Prime series - but there is another online streaming site that I saw mentioned in a discussion thread here. Try doing a title search for the series name.

I’m staying away from the spoiler section at spoilthedead, but I check out others, and I saw a picture of Lauren Cohen filming with her hair cut short.
She’s so beautiful...why’d they want to go and do that?

I have been watching Z Nation since it began.
They kill off main characters even faster than TWD does.
