Mysterious disappearances aren’t new....Yet, as bizarre as these cases may be, there seems to be an even stranger type of disappearance out there; people who vanish in full view of others, under circumstances where it seems impossible that they could have even gone far, let alone totally disappeared. These are the cases in which people were there one moment and gone the next, seeming to have just literally faded from existence, leaving us baffled and perhaps even questioning what we think we know about this mysterious world of ours. Let's take a look at the history of some of the more curious accounts of these spontaneous vanishings of people who by all indications seemed to have just ceased to exist.

Sometimes, not only did the person disappear, but they did so right before the eyes of witnesses, literally fading away in plain sight... In 1815, at a Prussian prison at Weichselmunde, a prisoner by the name of Diderici was doing a 10-year sentence for assuming the identity of his dead employer by dressing up in his clothes and a wig and trying to withdraw a large amount of money after the man had died of a stroke. Allegedly, one day Diderici was being led through the exercise yard in chains in a line of other prisoners, when something very odd began to happen. According to other prisoners, Diderici began to literally fade away, his body gradually becoming transparent and immaterial until finally his empty manacles and chains clattered to the ground as baffled prisoners and prison guards looked on. An inquiry into the case would turn up nearly 30 eyewitness accounts from both convicts and guards that reported the exact same thing; that Diderici had become slowly invisible until he was simply not there anymore.

I believe evil people do give off an aura, if you will. And sometimes you can sense it. I had a customer years ago when I waited tables. He and his wife and her daughter came in often, but I do not think I had waited on him myself previously. So this day they are at my table. Anyway they are normally behaved and he is polite etc, but I got an overwhelming sense of evil and it was like a horrible wrongness and he just totally creeped me out. There was no outward justification for me to feel that way. Some time later we found out he was arrested for molesting young girls.

Why would the disappearing prisoner leave behind his handcuffs but not his clothes?
My stepson had an episode while in college, where he disappeared from a party, indoors, after talking to two females no one seemed to recognize. He turned up the next day wearing only his bluejeans shorts and one sock, behind a quickstop station in Knoxville, TN. To this day, he has no recollection of how he got there from Murfresboro, TN. At the time I had been reading of the strange disappearances of young men in college towns, turning up dead in bodies of water, sometimes a week after disappearing but showing signs of being in the water only a few hours. It spooked me good, don'tchaknow!
Bingo! This Earth that God created has its mysteries. I do believe in UFO because the Bible speaks of them or shall gives hint to them. As for people disappearing, can it be God giving us a glimpse of what the rapture will be like. Imagine millions instead of 1 person just poof off the face of the Earth.
These people who disappeared in the past, they did not die neither they simply vanished into thin air. The Bible does states that when the rapture occur, we will not die but to be united with those in Christ in the air in a TWINKLING OF AN EYE.
There are several odd scenes int he Bible which hint strongly of a parallel where/when un detected by our sense (see Daniel chapter five, for starters).
