Friends on Facebook and imposing the French Flag in "solidarity".
Ok, so what do you do, shut down the entire city, because there were literally thousands of targets within the city they could have hit.
Ok...
Put you in the “I Don’t Get It” column....
They need to go over to GATES OF VIENNA website & follow
their link to the PETITION demanding Obama slap a
total MORATORIUM on ALL “migration” from the Middle
East immediately!
Why are you so angry? Has anybody superimposing the French flag on Facebook actually harmed you?
Oh I get it. You like to complain. You cop a position just to be able to thump your chest. Problem is your position is stupid. There’s nothing wrong with people who want to express support expressing support. And there’s nothing wrong with people who don’t want to not. What YOU fail to get is that there’s nothing wrong with that.
What does that have to do with meaningless symbolism?
The city, the country, the citizens of this country need to be told, need to be shown the way to self-defense, self-determination and shown that Euro PC acceptance of “refugees” will be their demise...as in our own country.
Have your Facebook page say DEATH TO RADICAL ISLAM withn a .45 M1911 Colt and superimpose the French surrender rag over it.
Awesome, I have like 3 friends (family)...
Not very many of my friends have changed to show the colors of the French flag. Must be something about your friends.
No, no one has “harmed” me..
It’s frustration mostly...these “symbolic feel goods” let people think they are making a difference and it isn’t...and it’s a deadly illusion.
Like “safe zones” on college campuses...
Fake yourself out, go ahead...but be warned....
Who said it was? I never did. I’ve admitted as much previously. It’s my personal mourning of those who died at the hands of savages and treasonous governments. I don’t know why other have posted the flag. Perhaps they did it to look “cool”. I did it because I recognize that innocent people died. To me, it’s akin to wearing black at a funeral. Or how NY puts up skylights every year where the WTC was. It’s done in memory...to honor. You cannot bring back the dead. Would you call those things “empty” symbolism? As I said, I could not do anything if I wished. I am not a French citizen. It is not my responsibility to change their ways.
If you think that posting a flag is pointless, consider this; my posting another country’s flag is about as policy-changing as your past votes and phone calls to closed-eared politicians. Mine isn’t intended to influence policy here. Yours was. Do you think that those things really made a difference? In liberal states, those are empty things. You do it just so you can pretend that your voice matters. So unless you are willing right now to go overthrow our government, don’t you dare criticize me for empty actions. You older generations have been whining for years about the government, but then you all go vote for the lesser of two evils. That is indeed an empty action. When those pointless votes inevitably brought about liberal policies, you all still whined about it. You people have had decades to stem the flow of liberalism in this country. So go ahead, insult me for supporting another country. Criticize me for not believing that calling liberals and telling them that they are wrong will enact a change. Berate me for not thinking that voting does anything. You are just as guilty of the empty symbolism of which you accuse me. How about you go and put your money where your mouth is instead of bitching about things that young people do?
I know it doesn’t make any difference. It’s simply an acknowledgement of what happened and an expression of caring; it’s not meant to be action.
Oh, take a chill pill....
And sure, I loooooove to complain...my favorite thing to do...you must be a psychiatrist...and I’m stupid because people want to express support expressing support...um yeah. Nothing wrong with people who don’t want to not....yeah.
Drape a flag over it and call it a day...problem solved....yeah.
From a picture I just saw, they already are....Geeeze.
Take your own advice. You’re the guy whining about about people showing support for the French people. You clearly like to complain, you’ve got close to half the posts on this thread YOU started BY COMPLAINING, and all your posts are MORE complaints. If you don’t enjoy it, you can stop.
Nobody thinks they’re solving the problem. They’re showing supports. Symbolic gestures matter. They’re how you gather the will TO solve the problem. Look at the scrap iron drives in WWII, most of that iron went straight to the junk, it was useless for building weapons or munitions, but the SYMBOL of the American people pulling together to support the war had value.
The flag is a symbols. Symbols have meaning. Symbols move the masses. Much like how our first step to fighting against the terrorists was a bunch of symbolic support. If the west as a whole is going to take the fight seriously the first thing to come will be the symbols.
It’s because the same people who are doing this would be mortified by us actually killing a terrorist.
From a picture I just saw, they already are....Geeeze.
Someone I know on FB did this to their profile pic.
What was their profile pic? Two words:
F-— ISIS
(only not bleeped)
