Anybody else see a visibly upset Jeraldo lamenting that he chartered a jet to retrieve his daughter from France but the airports were closed. How crass. Hundreds of thousands trapped in France just like his "studying abroad" (Paris partying) daughter. What a true liberal. Don't ever trust them. When it comes right down to it, they are only concerned about themselves.
I’m glad I had the chance to see Europe. Now is not the time. As a parent, how could you possibly fault me for protecting my child, and myself?

Fox put him on so the country could see the personal side of a parent with a child over there. They would have done that with any US parent having a child there. Rivera is part of the Fox family and it was easy to put him on the air. If there had been another parent that close to Fox, that parent would have been on.
I am sorry but I see his reaction as that of any parent with a twenty something kid. He is just fortunate enough in life to be able to afford to charter a plane. To make nore of it then that is just wrong.
Gotcha. I heard him talk about that last night when he was first on. "Do you want Daddy to come get you" is what he said (maybe not exactly but that was pretty close). That was right before I changed the channel after yelling at the TV. It was obvious to me from that statement they were looking for heartstrings ratings...and not interesting in giving the news.
But then again...it was Shep Smith and I should expect nothing less from him....the little lefty.

I tend to look at the different parts which which make up a whole. Identifying with another parent who wants to make sure his daughter is safe, does not mean I am one dimensional.
My niece was in Paris this summer. I tell you this, had something like this happened when she was there my sister and brother-in-law would have moved heaven and earth to get her home as fast as possible.
My friend went to Paris when the migrants were in the tunnel a month or so ago. I had advised her not to go! She came back without ever knowing about this altercation. She said it was a nice trip, everything peaceful.

Not necessarily. You don’t understand the student exchange program. There are French students over here right now. Their parents made the same decision. We are just as susceptible as France to the same kind of attacks. What are we doing different? Didn’t I just read that 10,000 refugees just landed in New Orleans?

Yeah....but I would have rather seen another parent than the notorious publicity hog that is whoraldo rivera. If you watched him on celebrity apprentice you know that this guy is absolutely in LOVE with himself and is about the most arrogant piece of garbage on TV...and that's saying something. He demonstrates classic narcissistic personality disorder.
The fact he is part of the "Fox family" makes me want to puke...and is one reason I would almost rather watch Al Jezeera or the BBC than Fox when he and shep are on.
He's a phony at heart and even when dealing with the serious matter of his daughter's safety...that narcissist is sitting there wondering how he can use it to his advantage.
If you do not understand that about him...you don't understand the narcissist disorder (and I'm not just being flippant...I mean really understand the symptoms of this mental disorder). My mother-in-law has this (and again...not just calling her a name...but she really has this issue)....and even in tragedy, to the narcissist...it's all about them. Obama is the same way.
A narcissist can experience deep emotions and fear...and worry about another person...but even during that time...their focus is "how does this impact me." Never forget this if you ever have to deal with someone who has this mental disorder....you cannot trust ANY of their emotions.

That is no true. I would have sent my child to go overseas to a European country as an exchange student because parents have done that for many years. His daughter has been there for a year and was coming home at the end of December.
Now, after this, parents will no longer send their children over there as exchange students.
If our kid was in Paris, you bet we would hire a private plane and go get him/her.
Why is Rivera’s daughter more important than anyone else’s child who is “trapped” in Paris?
