Get off our backs already!
Did CDC or any other Fat Police explain why we should compare ourselves to our forefathers/mothers who went through a Depression and major wars. Maybe there just wasn’t enough to eat back then, and they were all TOO SKINNY and not any healthier!!!! I know some very slender people who are 300+ on their cholesterol, on BP meds, blown their knees out from too much running, etc etc etc.

I have seen pictures of people in East Texas from the 1920s and 1930s, some years prosperous, others not so much. These were rural folks, by and large, who raised their own vegetables and kept livestock. There were children, adults, and the elderly, male and female, black and white. There were doctors and businessmen, farmers and laborers. Few, if any, were overweight, none were obese. You go to East Texas now and that is clearly not the case.

The vast increase in starchy carbohydrates (breads, pasta, potato chips), far greater consumption of sugar through packaged foods and soft drinks, and the development of processed foods are the main culprits. Eighty or ninety years ago, flour, rice, dried beans, and some canned goods were about the only food bought at grocery stores. Restaurants were fewer in number. Fast food restaurants were not yet in existence.

Combined with a lesser degree of manual labor at both work and home, and you have a perfect storm that has led to mass obesity in this country.

No. I’ want to tax the hell out of fat, stupid and lazy people. I am none of the above. I’m used to smoke. I enjoyed smoking. Then the fat, lazy and stupid people transferred their shame on smokers and taxed the hell out of it. Then the governments of the fat, lazy and stupid sued the Tabacco companies to line the fat cats pocket. The stupid and lazy were just too stupid and lazy to not seeing the slippery slope.

Now I’m a lean, smart and industrious person who doesn’t want to give the F, L & S 6+ dollars a pack to subsidize other pet programs.

I say we go after fatties by making them stand out in the rain, snow, heat, cold to eat their super sized double quarterpounder with cheese. I say we make diabetics stand out in the rain, snow, heat, cold to take their blood sugar and insulin until it’s normal and I can’t smell either the fat sweet or the McDonald’s breat or alchol wipes or the sweet smell diabetics slowly dying. I can give type 1 a break. Now the stupid. I would just replace all doors opening in with pull to open signs and the doors opening out with push to open signs. They should either start learning or die fairly quickly.

Then tax the hell out all them and shame them and mock them. Run commercials about how pathetic they are for being free but not our kind of free.

You all know I’m being sarcastic to prove a point. But dont get me started on old or oriental driver - they really do need to be taxed and shunned. Or was it women who wear perfume? Maybe it’s was the people with no kids, selfish little bastards - they need extra taxing. No, I remember it’s all those people who can’t do just 1 pull up or was it people who fart all the time or have bad breath. Well now I have a bigger list so I have solved all state budget problems with 1,497,653,997 new taxes. Damn I’m good. I am so smart, smug and controlling I should be a lawmaker to help all you breathers contribute your fair share,

If you supported tobacco taxes and the state/federal extortion your at the least in one group of the F, l, & S subgroup. I’m guessing all 3 but definitely 1.

Like I told my fat, sick, out of shape anti-smoking friend of my fathers - I can quit smoking he couldn’t stop being a prick. I did stop. He is in bad shape physically and still a prick.
