Well it looks like Trump is making a bid to take a chokehold over the headlines again. In an interview to be released later tonight, Erin Burnett says that Trump will compare Ben Carson's 'pathological disease' to that of a child molester's.
WOW. I guarantee you everyone will be talking about this when it comes out. He says that they're alike in that both conditions are incurable.
This hits at the very cornerstone of Ben Carson's campaign because so many support him based on his Christian convictions, which sprout from his story of being a violent youth and finding Christ. Trump has doubted his conversation story before, but this is the most rancorous denouncement yet. Will America buy it?
Not necessary.
If Trump wins the nomination, this will kill any idea of a Trump/Carson ticket.
He went for the jugular. Very unkind and unnecessarily brutal.
I will wait and see.
Yeah, I daresay Carson will not be on a Trump ticket and would not be in his Cabinet for sure.
Jumping the shark?
Not to mention ridiculously illogical and uninformed.
Wait, what?
Did Trump actually do this, or is this the media wishcasting that he had?
I think I’ll tune in to Erin’s program at 7:00 CDT and check this out.
I’m tuning in to CNN at 7:00 to hear it for myself.
“Jumping the shark?”
No he is thinning the field.
Trump appears to have rather broad and deep mean streak
I have a recurring nightmare. Trump wins the nomination and goes full on stupid during the general and we wake up to President Hillary (or Bernie).
I like so many of his ideas and respect his executive ability and convictions, but his inability to control his mouth combined with his narcissistic personality and tendency to overgeneralize things grates on me.
Someone once said, you have many chances to gain a voter, but it only takes one thing to lose them forever. I appreciate his indifference to being PC, but I hope he understands that statements like this are what the media will focus on in the general. He will spend much of his time clarifying past statements or trying to spin his way out of something he should not have said in the first place.
Denouncement? Denouncement?
The word is "denunciation."
“He went for the jugular. Very unkind and unnecessarily brutal.”
I agree.
Average joes cannot run for President. You have to have a distinguished term or career in public elective office first.
I admire Carson, his bootstrap life, and his brilliance as a physician. But he is not presidential material.
Carson said he had a pathological disease in his book so....
Didn’t write it. Soopermexican did. LOL.
Then why is he saying all these thing? PATHOLICAL IS WHAT HE IS:
Defining characteristics of pathological lying include:
The stories told are usually dazzling or fantastical, but never breach the limits of plausibility, which is key to the pathological liarâs tact. The tales are not a manifestation of delusion or some broader type of psychosis; upon confrontation, the teller can admit them to be untrue, even if unwillingly.
The fabricative tendency is chronic; it is not provoked by the immediate situation or social pressure so much as it is an innate trait of the personality. There is some element of dyscontrol present.
A definitely internal, not an external, motive for the behavior can be discerned clinically: e.g., long-lasting extortion or habitual spousal battery might cause a person to lie repeatedly, without the lying being a pathological symptom.[2]
The stories told tend toward presenting the liar favorably. The liar âdecorates their own personâ[3] by telling stories that present them as the hero or the victim. For example, the person might be presented as being fantastically brave, as knowing or being related to many famous people, or as having great power, position, or wealth.
Pathological lying may also present as false memory syndrome, where the sufferer genuinely believes that fictitious (imagined) events have taken place. The sufferer may believe that he or she has accomplished superhuman feats or awe-inspiring acts of altruism and love ââ¬â or has committed equally grandiose acts of diabolical evil, for which the sufferer must atone, or indeed has already atoned in her/his fantasies.
