Backups are important, people.

I have no sympathy at all for people who lose data when they didn’t take the elementary precaution of backing it up.

Mind your fly. Your apostrophe is hanging out.

It was only a mastery of time. The world is awash in terrible coders.

Nice try.

Strive for literacy. It's a conservative trait.

Nothing conservative about your nanny trait.

rollbackRX looks terrific. And it’s expensive to boot!

I think there’s even a free version- but it’s not that expensive- it’s one of the best programs I’ve ever bought, and it’s saved my hide so many times it’s paid for itself many times over

Between that and nortons internet security, and Mcafee’s ‘site advisor’ warning whenever you are about to visit a virus infected site- I don’t have m uch to worry about- IF a virus should make it through- a simple quick rollback is all it takes to wipe it completely off without having to go through hunting down all the remnants of a virus throughout your computer

Hey neighbor, I was trying to help you out by using a bit of humor to point out your punctuation error.

Be a good neighbor and thank me.

I was looking at ESET on Wikipedia, and came across this comparison of many anti virus programs, including internet security programs. (It’s a wide chart, scroll right.)

I know for a fact the info on ZoneAlarm at that wiki is incorrect. Of course now I wonder about the rest of it.

Check websites here for safety:

http://global.sitesafety.trendmicro.com/

DO NOT CLICK ON DOWNLOADS OR ATTACHMENTS IN EMAILS UNLESS YOU ARE *SURE* *SURE* *SURE* OF WHERE THEY ARE COMING FROM.

TALK TO THE SENDER *VERBALLY* FIRST!!!!

And of course:

Have multiple offline backups. Three or more of each file you own and love.

In my meager case, a thumb drive does it all.

I opt for Comodo Internet Security (Disable the “Sandbox”).
Malwarebytes, Super Antispyware, Glary Utilities, and Norton Utilities. All Free and I never get infected, except for the ever present tracking cookies. No utility program is all encompassing. An arsenal of them is required to get most everything, and even then, I have yet to find one which will delete the ever growing .dat files (index items).

Glary Utilities has the fastest defrag program I have ever used.
