[T]here is NOTHING remotely conservative about Donald Trump and his candidacy.
You have to give them a path, a path to citizenship. Where have I heard that one before? I know, Jeb Bush and Lindsey Graham and of course every Democrat as well. Heâs zero for one there.
How about taxes? When Trump ran for president in 1999, he proposed a gigantic wealth tax on the American people, a 14.25% levy that he calculated would raise $5.7 trillion and wipe out the debt forever in one fell swoopâa wealth tax, going into your bank account and pulling out money from bank accounts. Obama is into his second term, and he hasnât even suggested that.
Since the 80s, he struggled so much with his identity, he has switched parties five times. Remember, a few months ago when people wanted George Stephanopoulos fired because he gave to the Clinton Foundation, remember that? Well, Donald Trump has given even more to the Clinton Foundation than Stephanopoulos did. Heâs given over $100,000 to the Clintons.
Since 1990, heâs given at least $541,650 to Democrats, far more than he gave to Republicans. The guy gave money to Rahm Emanuel and Harry Reid, Harry freaking Reid.
Trump said, âIâm totally pro-choice. I hate it and I hate saying it. And Iâm almost ashamed to say that Iâm pro-choice but I am pro-choice because I think we have no choice.â What? And âI believe it is a personal decision that should be left to the women and their doctors.â
Donald Trump: I think Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States.
He indicated his ideal vice president would be diehard Obama supporter Oprah Winfrey, and he was a registered Democrat until 2009
How about eminent domain? Years ago, Trump was looking to add a few more parking spots to one of his casinos in Atlantic City. To do so, he needed to acquire the property of Vera Coking, a senior citizen who had lived there for over three decades. So, did he make her an offer she couldnât refuse? No, he decided to use eminent domain. Yes, this conservative argued that the government needed to take a wrecking ball to this sweet old womanâs home, her private property, because it was an eyesore.
Thatâs not all on eminent domain, of course, because the big one is when the government destroyed peopleâs homes in Connecticut so an office building could be built in the Kelo decision which might be the worst Supreme Court ruling of my lifetime. Trump said he backed the government 100%. Eminent domain is more than something he supports. Itâs his business plan. In fact, a nice chunk of Trumpâs wealth has come from using the force of government to take property from private individuals to line his pockets. Beyond the sheer lack of basic humanity, it definitely takes a liberal progressive to do something like that.
“And sets up an âexpedited processâ to let the productive ones back in. Thatâs roughly about half of them.”
Like it or not, that’s the best we’re going to do. If they come in as guest workers and leave their families behind, then the demographic effect is VERY LITTLE. If half come back and bring their families, the demographic effect is MUCH LESS than what anyone else is talking about.
Like it or not, there is not a SINGLE CANDIDATE that simply wants to deport them all and keep them out.
Sen. Cruz would likely see more illegals leave. Through strict enforcement of e-verify, jobs for them would evaporate. Some would manage to beat the system, most would not. With a blanket denial of benefits, most would leave of their own accord. This is similar to Gov. Romney’s “self-deportation” that trump found so cruel in 2012. But combined with real border security, it would mostly solve the problem. Then, if any are left, we can decide what to do with them, but we’d be dealing with a small fraction of the current problem.
IOW, I'm presenting factual information that doesn't make your candidate look good, and you can't stand it,
Cruz is not one of us on immigration.
The factual record shows that he is.
Apparently not.
Sorry, but the factual information shows that Cruz has been all over the map on illegal immigration.
Are you aware that in 2013 Cruz offered these three Amendments to a Senate bill?
1. Give green cards to illegal aliens
2. Up the H-1B visas to 500% of what they were (and still are)
3. Double the immigration quota across the board.
Cruz has had a come to Jesus moment on immigration, but I don’t trust him on it at all.
About four months ago, during an interview Ted tried to play tough guy on immigration. One answer revealed everything.
He at first said, they all have to go. When the interviewer asked if it was at all possible if they could stay, Ted actually blurted out a way could be found.
His heart IS NOT in his immigration plan as now stated.
He has always backed a green card solution. His interviews confirm this.
So no, he’s not better than Trump.
His H-1B plan wasn’t even reversed until a month or so ago.
Okay, well, just better than you do then.
No, quite the contrary.
Yes, I;’m fully aware of that. I’m also aware that he’s pledged to build a wall (as Trump has) and that he’s the guy who stopped the Gang of Eight bill.
Trump has also said both that they have to go and that “the good ones” get to stay here.
I believe you’re accepting the media’s version of the amendments. Do you know what a poison pill is? It’s like introducing an amendment to the minimum wage increase to raise it to $50 per hour. None of us would actually support that. But if you can get that amendment attached, it will kill the bill.
Cruz is one of just two Senators to vote to halt immigration from 30+ Middle Eastern Muslim countries where the Brotherhood’s affiliates are rampant. One of two! (A shameful comment about the state of Congress.)
Look at the Trump quotes I’ve posted on this thread and others. He flat-out says that “you have to give them a path [to citizenship].” That’s the position of the Washington cartel. Trump has just changed that recently, as part of his campaign. I don’t trust Trump on this issue.
Aww, I know it’s tough.
You try so darned hard too.
Ta ta...
Ted has promised to complete the wall. The wall already started can be compromised with tin snips. So Ted is really going to secure the border. LOL
Didn’t you read his on policy statement you linked me to?
You’re a laugh a minute.
Only a few months ago Ted had already changed his policy, but was still saying a way could be found to let them stay.
I’d sure hate to be in your shoes trying to peddle what you are.
We accept converts.

You can’t even spell “you’re” correctly.
Have someone explain this to you:
Thanks for the spam.
Not wasting my time with it.
Cruz isn’t getting my vote and I don’t trust him anymore than you trust Trump.
As I already told you, go on back to the Cruz/GOPe team and tell them you need some fresh material.
You can’t even fathom a type-o...
Need a snot rag for this too?
Not interested, anymore than you are to study up on Cruz’s miraculous transformation on immigration. NOT
“the Cruz/GOPe team”
This tells everyone how little you understand. Ted Cruz is the scourge of the GOP Establishment, the person who has refused to go along and get along, but instead has stood up to them time and time again — and they hate him for it. Yet, you blindly follow the party line and insist that anyone who criticizes your candidate — even from the right — MUST be from the Establishment.
That’s not healthy.
As I said, I’m well aware of his record. You don’t want to know about Trump’s record, which has been discussed in some detail on this thread.
The Ted Cruz team has joined the GOPe, RNC, DNC, Media talking heads, Media pundits, print Media, and the blog spots to try to destroy Trump, and yet you think this represent Cruz as being the enemy of all these entities.
